I am interested in a table saw to chop some counter top or fencing needs. Nothing major. But it feels like, i should just buy a portable corded one instead of a cordless right?

Showed up at the HD in Mesa Az yesterday at lunch. They had none in stock. I ended up finding one up top. I think a couple of the workers were bummed out cause they both said they would have bought it if they knew. My store is the busiest in the area but seemed like some other stores close by still had some

does anyone has the brickseek link?
My writeup and Brickseek was removed for some reason when this made the FrontPage - I have added it to Wiki. But here it is again.

Brickseek showed 2 at my store. Went there and couldn't find it in the clearance section or the ryobi sections. Clerk checked and it shows no inventory, online only. I found someone else who was more familiar with the layout and found one in the top rack in a different section where they store the extras. Looks like it Brickseek showed 2 but it seems I got the last one and it has now updated the qty to Limited stock (but not out of stock).

5 more listed "around me" in a 5 mile radius (socal). *yes it was weird when I was in store looking this up again the brick seek link was gone so I manually searched it.

I went early this morning to a store near me that showed 3 on brickseek. Couldn't find any on the floor. But did find 3 up high in the steel of a nearby aisle. Bought one and brickseek is now showing 2. Seems to be fairly accurate based on store inventory report.

Just grabbed one at the Strickland Rd store in Raleigh, still two remaining on the floor.
I picked one up on the way home from this store. Absolutely covered in dust and was the last one on the floor.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

So I got one of these about six weeks ago for the same price, I have only used it once but here is my review.

My dad was a woodshop teacher so I have been using table saws for 40 years and everything from Monster 16" Powermatic's to portable $50 plastic Import saws. Going into this purchase you have to keep in mind, this is not a powerful shop saw, this is made for smaller occasional cuts and really wins out when doing work in the field without running long extension cords.

The Good:
The saw has all the necessary pieces and includes two HP 4amp batteries which are a $100 value alone.
The fence is ok, I would not say it's great nor horrible. If you push the fence from the front when locking it in place it seems to lock "pretty" square to the blade but it's not a true t-square fence and I would recommend checking alignment with each adjustment, you want the fence kicking out away from the blade at the end a few thousandths of an inch.
The saw has a riving knife which is a great safety feature that old table saws do not have. I really don't like using saws without this feature anymore as they really do prevent kickback.

The Not Good:
The miter gouge wobbles in the slot to the point of being completely inaccurate. If you want to use this for crosscuts do not expect any accuracy at all as the piece will shift through the cut. Technically speaking you want a miter saw for accurate crosscuts to begin with as it's not the greatest strength of a table saw so it's not a deal breaker. If you were expecting to use the miter to do rabbit cuts, this saw will not accept a dado stack anyway so that's not a worry.
The blade seems to be junk, ok for cutting construction grade work but you really want to invest $20 in a good combo thin kerf blade, sharper blades not only cut cleaner and more efficiently (remember this is an 18v saw) they also cut safer as you are not forcing anything.

I have only used the saw once and I was cutting 1/16" thick aluminum for a trim job and it worked fine. I used both the miter gauge and rip fence for some of the cuts and I was not too terribly concerned with accuracy. I cannot speak to the power of the saw and how it handles 1" thick hardwood or 3/4" plywood. I have a large cabinet saw at home but this one is great for taking to another how or working on a fence or something that is not in my garage.

Hope this helps, final verdict, it was $200 well spent.

Got 1 at the Portland store on SE Washington St. They had 1 left. Both were up top in the aisle with all the fasteners/hardware. The guy who helped me knew about the good price but left the other one up there for the next person to find.

Worked out great for me since I happened to be traveling through for work with the additional bonus of no sales tax! Saved me ~$20 vs buying in the Seattle area.

Grabbed one in Blaine, MN this morning (Near Northtown Mall - 55343 zip)

They had one remaining on the floor in the power tools section. $200 clearance price clearly marked on the shelf.
