Found 2 at the Cleveland, TN. location. They had white/standard tags with the $598 price shown. Brickseek and online don't show this price or say clearance. I went to several other stores and none had this price.

I bought one using the HD Credit card and one of their 10% off coupons.
This tool box is pretty awesome at this price. I have several of the Hart toolboxes from the walmart deal, several husky tool boxes, and one other (narrow/tall) Milwaukee tool box. This one is by far the sturdiest and heaviest (for its size). It is a rolling tank of a box.

While I was there I saw several other boxes with slashed prices.
They have one of these for $850 (Didn't take pictures).

This one was $800 (It actually shows this price online for me).

This was $700 (2 available, didn't take pictures).

i guess if your tools are from IKEA then why not. Otherwise that's a bit crappy
The Milwaukee is 18Ga steel with an angle iron frame. Husky heavy duty is 19Ga without the reinforced frame.
Drawers are rated 120 Lbs. on both models, but the Milwaukee feels nicer (slide, soft close, sturdiness).
Wood top is slightly thicker on the Milwaukee (not a big deal).
Husky has (6) 6" swivel castors for better maneuverability (Milwaukee has (2) 5" swivels, (2) straight).
Milwaukee has a way nicer push/pull handle much closer to a chunk of deadlift bar (Husky is thinner, tubular steel). Not a deal breaker.
Milwaukee is 393lbs, Husky is 440lbs.

I have (1) Husky heavy duty tool chest, (2) Husky heavy duty workbenches, (1) Milwaukee narrow tool chest, and now (1) Milwaukee workbench.

All are great for the money and I wouldn't feel bad about re-buying any of them. Pick what works best for your workspace and you will be happy with it.

how's this compare to US GENERAL and the YUKON wood top on sale right now at harbor freight
Harbor Freight General tool chest rate relatively high for their price. Milwaukee is a big name, but I wouldn't bet my life the Milwaukee box is on par with their power tools. I'd go in and get a feel for the boxes and how the shelves roll. But warranty at Harbor Freight often sucks.

I want one of these but I just can't justify paying $600 when I can just put an old Ikea dresser in my garage for free and just throw my tools into it. I dunno man

Lol, I think you need a trip to the SD re-education camp. If it's got the Milwaukee Tools name on it, it's the best of whatever it is, and you need it!

I decided just to apply for a second Home Depot card. That gave me an immediate $50 discount so I didn't have to worry about whether a 10% coupon would work or not. I also learned that it was a discontinued SKU. So, once they're gone, they're gone. I picked mine up at the 49735 zip code. It was still in a crate and storage up on a top shelf. It was the only one they had. As of yesterday, there was one more located at zip code 49770. Happy hunting! OP repped.

It may be a pain at this point since there are over 90 comments as of this rating but you'll get your answer if you go through them. I can't speak on them because I've never had one. I did pick up this one that's posted here and am happy with it.

Only floor model left. Couple of scratches on wood and side of box. Manager only gave $50 off. Wanted to put in mini van but they said they could only put width wise (fork lift) which wouldn't work. So I paid $79 for delivery.

Bought this and the 329 husky. $1k spent yesterday at HD.

Milwaukee was $670 OTD with delivery (Illinois)

No more Slickdeals for me!!!

Has anyone attempted an online, ship-to-store, purchase and then do a return/rebuy at discount price? How long will this sale run for?

This is a discontinued SKU (#1006693956) according to the Home Depot employee that I dealt with to buy mine. I guess you'd have to ask if they ship it to the store. Inventory still shows several available. You'll have to check with your local Home Depot if you would get the discounted price If you buy it, possibly prompting their computer to fill the order and have it shipped to the store. I applied for a credit card to get another $50 off the $598 price. They used a forklift to load it to the back of my pickup truck and I used ramps at home to get it off. It's about 400 lb.

I see one still available in Algonquin, IL as of 9 PM on 6/10. I had a 10% off coupon but decided to get a husky 27 inch. Small garage problems Frown

So I thought about attempting this, but instead of ship-to-store, just buying online from a location that showed 1 in stock, then requesting the price adjustment when I show up. My online order showed a price of $972 including taxes and minus the 10% military discount. To my surprise, I just got the email that my order is ready for pickup, and it shows a new total of $582 including taxes and they still gave me the 10% military discount.

So I say go ahead and try buying online and having it shipped to your local store. You might get lucky and your final price will be adjusted before or during your pickup.

Great tip! I was able to buy 2 units using in-store pickup with initial charge of $998 each. After I got the pickup email, the receipt showed $598 each. Instead of going to the store, I called in to customer service and switched to delivery for $79. No other discounts for me, but $400 is good enough. Should be delivered on Monday.

Called customer service today for a store in SoCal. They said it was 998. Bummer to have missed this deal.
