Is this a deal? Uber Eats gives me 40% targeted promo and it's still 25 to 30% more than going to the restaurant. Which means regular price is nuts
I get those coupons and it saves a good amount, ASSUMING that you're an UberOne member. If you have a CapitalOne card, you can have free UberOne and 10% cash back on all Uber purchases until like late 2024.

With UberOne, it's easy to find places with $0 delivery fee along with lower service fees.

I've also found that most places generally increase their prices on Ubereats like $2 or so.

So with all that in mind, suppose you find a restaurant you want to buy from on UberEats, with $0 delivery fees and low service fees. If you picked it up yourself, and you buy 3 entrees at $13 each, that'd be $39.

If you instead order delivery through UberEats, they'll cost $15 each, so 3x$15 = $45. With a 40% off coupon, it's $27. Add on $0 delivery, and a small service fee (usually it's like $2 for most places I've seen), you're looking at $29. Then if you tip a decent amount like $5 or something, you're looking at $34. This is still cheaper than the restaurant, AND if you have the CapitalOne card, you'll get 10% cash back on this purchase, putting it at roughly $31.

So TL;DR, what might cost you $39 at the restaurant will end up costing about $31 with UberEats, AND you save gas and time by having someone deliver it for you. It's still a very good deal.

I use up my 40% off coupons every week that I get them, and I'm genuinely disappointed when I don't get them some weeks. I always max out those coupons and I just stick the extra entree in my freezer and bring it to work for lunch. It works out great.

I only used ubereats because every month or so in different family members account which was not use in while we got 40 or 50 percent off just ordered, last week we actually got 70 percent off, honestly had grubhub prime account for 1 year and never bother to order with inflated price without any discount code

I prefer to pick up my food. I only use the app when they have a pickup deal.

With Grubhub , if you get a promo from a late delivery, can you use it with other promos?

I am assuming no and therefore that promo is toothless

I just checked yesterday. Local sushi place, DD was $1 more for every item I saw. And I checked Tommy's and the prices were the same. Seems like it can vary.
That's because the restaurants set the prices on each platform, not the delivery company.

Can i still order delivery if I am visiting a place and am near the restaurant . Say in a park a mile way from restaurant. Is this normal?

Got this offer in email too, says expires 18th but doesn't work anymore.

Is it expired?

Grubhub charges all the time 30% more than if you just go pick up the food. People using this are just super lazy.

Not always. I just ordered from them because their prices were significantly lower than Door Dash's. On the rare occasions that I have food delivered, I compare overall cost.

All the fees for delivery, not much of a deal.
