Does anyone know if the weight limit mentioned 600lbs includes the mattress? I'd hate for the once or twice a year that a couple uses it after eating that one piece of cake pushes them over the limit and in the middle of sleeping.... BAM!

Yes. Lighter weight mattresses are sometimes easier/ safer to raise and lower, but YMMY.
The Wayfair page suggests a 12" memory foam mattress will fit, but a customer review stated 10".

Edit The Murphy beds I've seen keep the mattress and sheets while in the closed position. But probably not a comforter.

I think foam mattress will be better than spring, right? It would probably retain it's shape. Dang this is a very good deal actually, I thought about getting one too but I wish it was more office design instead of room, maybe a folding table under the bed that you can just fold and turn into a workstation and maybe some outlets.
Oh, these things will arrive flat pack, I think it will be madness putting it together.

Their website stated that if you sign up for text notifications you could get a coupon for 10% off. I signed up for the text notifications but couldn't get the 10% to apply to the order. I've wanted a Murphy Bed since I was a kid. I even considered building one myself. This is an irresistible price. My biggest concern is weight. With only 2 thin legs and the wall mount, I'm not sure how long it can support a Queen mattress and two adults. There is absolutely no support in the middle, where there is the most weight. But I suppose that's true of Murphy Beds. I repeat, those legs are really thin!

If you're looking for a quality murphy bed I really recommend the Lori Bed, it's quite a bit more expensive but has no moving parts, is made in the usa and feels very sturdy.

The full version is $1540. A Queen model being cheaper than Full seems pretty common among beds. I wonder why.

For those considering this bed, keep in mind that it's 580 lbs. Good luck getting the box to your bedroom. Will probably take several back breaking trips.

This one has a shelf that can be used as a shallow desk (as shown in the photo). The shelf/desk serves as a middle leg for the bed.

Have it delivered inside the garage, move it to the room piece by piece as you assemble. Just like some of the bigger ikea stuff, no big deal.
