Wonder how to get an eGPU connected

Need the enclosure. You don't get full bandwidth tho. I think Tb4 only carries 32Gbps (I think it's 4 lanes of PCIE 3)

CPU is serious overkill for a machine that is just going to run on integrated graphics anyway. I mean, it is an extremely capable home or office machine, but they could have put a quad core 13th generation i3 in there, knocked a couple hundred bucks off of the price, and you probably wouldn't have noticed the difference for anything other than gaming - and you won't be doing much of that with the integrated GPU. I guess there are a couple non-gaming uses I can think of (encoding video for example) where the better CPU would be noticed, but still...

Generally, 720p medium-ish settings and 1080p very minimum settings for AAA games. But a lot depends on what they set the thermal limits to. Modern Intel chips have power limits configurable by the manufacturer and for this processor I've seen it set as low as 45W and as high as 90W. When it's set to 90W it'll be almost twice as fast (if your cooling and power supply can keep up), so you can't even compare two different machines apples to apples unless you know what their PL1/PL2 values are.

It'll probably do for what you're wanting, but generally Ryzen APUs are better for gaming while these iGPUs are better for Plex and media boxes.

Yeah, this is the problem with all laptops no matter who makes the CPU/GPU/APU. Thermal performance and how they configure the chips based on that vary wildly between laptops. The only way to figure out how well a laptop will perform is to look at detailed reviews like they publish on notebookcheck. Actually, thermal performance is everything in computing, no matter the form factor. Gotta do something with all that heat these chips generate, and high end Intel chips are really good at generating heat. Haha.

Built-in PSU, so no huge power bricks like every single mini PC on market has except Mac mini.

Serious space saver.

The nbp7 is better because for $704 on Amazon it comes with 32gb ddr5 memory which is double what this PC comes with it. The nbp7 also has 2 HDMI 2.0 ports which is double what this PC has.

A slew of AMD Phoenix minis will be available soon, and will likely be even cheaper. I guess maybe Lenovo offers better warranty service.
