I've got 2 Canon inoperative 'paperweights' and ever since I bought a Brother (model MFC-L2750DW) I'll never buy another Canon for as long as I live.

Agree. My Brother printer broke down after 10 years of moderate use woot.
No other printer will survive 10 years.

I have this for close to 4 years now. This is a good printer. My kids print coloring sheets and whatnot on a daily basis. The printer will say it's low on toner and need to replace after 500 pages - but you can simply remove the toner, reset the printer and you'll be good for some more time until it really grays out. Air print works great too.

Nice comments. I personally have a brother HL2280dw ~10 years old but it keeps showing "replace drum" now. I bought a compatible drum, but it still wouldn't work. Time to get a new one, and brother is trustworthy.

That's exactly what mine was doing just before it died on me on day.
Still have the generic toners.
Honestly i really liked it but wasn't expecting it to last that short period of time.

Monochrome, no scanning feeder… you can get something better for 50 dollars more… many deals posted in the past 2 weeks here.

Purely anecdotal but I've had a wireless Canon monochrome laser printer that's worked great for almost 10 years. I was considering buying this printer but honestly I don't see how it would be much of an upgrade when my Canon is going strong on aftermarket toner cartridges.
