I just put one of these together a few hours ago. The quality is pretty poor. the rods running side to side tend to be bent a little at the ends, like the jig they are using to weld is messed up. For my use, its fine, but QC is bad. A little rust one one of the shelves as well, hit that with a scotch pad and it came off, but hoping it doesn't run more there.
We use Uline shelves at work. The cost is way more, but the quality is many many steps above these! Plus Uline has a huge variety of sizes.
No way would I load one of these shelves up with crazy heavy stuff, like close to the advertised limit. I've got 120lbs of cat litter on 1 shelf and it seemed strong enough for that, a little deflection but should survive since its a static load.

Usually cheaper to buy bundled with casters than buy them separately.

That's more than the honey can do ones that sometimes go on sale here. Theirs is 200lbs/shelf and more expensive than the Amazon brand on sale right now

What if you don't need 350 lb. capacity. I see they have a 36x14x72, 250 lb. capacity unit for $35.99, and a 35x14x36 one for just $25.88. [amazon.com]
Edit: Never mind, they have high shipping charges.

I have it. It's a good shelf but they didn't do a good job of marking where to place the shelves.

Not fun counting the notches for each and every rod multiple times for each shelf.

If you say anything about a cheaper deal on shelves here on slickdeals people will mention time machines and all sorts of imaginary devices so I will just say hypertough via Walmart with casters used to be $38

Target used to have a house-brand model in larger dimensions that was my go-to for garage storage. These days I've complemented those with the (admittedly more expensive) Sam's Club model when it has gone on sale. The larger dimensioned wire shelving seems to be significantly higher quality than those sold exclusively in smaller dimensions.

The difference is about 2.16 cents per square inch of shelving space in this smaller shelf vs. 1.95 cents per square inch of shelving space for something like the Sam's Club model at $100. That would only put the Sam's Club model at $49 vs. the $55 in this deal when comparing like shelving space (36" * 14" * 5 shelves = 2520 square inches). In other words, the bigger shelves seem much more expensive, but really aren't if you can use the space and especially if you factor in the more rugged build quality. There are vertical clearance differences between a 5-shelf 72" rack and a 6-shelf 75.5" rack, but your needs will determine how to value this distinction.

Good luck!
Jon

I got one last year and a shelf was bent up. Amazon didn't even reply when I asked about getting a replacement. Oh well.
