In for 4! Love the solar feature! No swapping batteries, AND no running wires….take my money
convenience outweighs the cons and at this price its a win imo. i have 2 flood lights, dual camera door bells, solar camera and 2 360 flood light cameras waiting to be installed. im just now finding out about the home
base 3 issues but i have the homebase 2 and i guess cant complain about what i dont have...

Any other power options for these? I would like to mount under an overhang where there isn't much, if any, direct sunlight.
someone mentioned you can get a solar with usb c and plug it in to charge...youll just lose water resistant capabilities on the plug area. i think a link was provided on one of the first 3 pages

A simple google search will tell you everything to know about how shoddy eufy is. Bought their homebase 2 stuff doorbells and 2k cameras and will not buy them again ever from broken undelivered promises.
I like this forum for feedback from actual product owners and users. I own three Eufy cameras that have been completely functional, but I do not use homebase, so I'm not as exposed to the product feature promises (homebase-related or otherwise) or Eufy's failures to deliver. I tend to trust SD users' opinions more than Google search results.

Thank you, also, for your input.

Yeah LA is bad. My cousin lives in Bel Air and exactly as you said. Things happen including sticks ups in her neighbors driveway.

I live in a safer part of the country with less riff raff and a more reliable police force. I always wondered why LA had so few cops for such a large city. NYC metro we are used to having a reliable police force.
It doesn't seem to matter anyway. The police have stopped investigating these cases and arresting these people up because the DA's office has made it clear that they won't prosecute these crimes in the name of 'equitable justice.' I finally couldn't take knowing that I was paying tens of thousands of dollars in property taxes alone each year and getting literally nothing in return for it so I sold and bolted. The amount of people who came to our moving sale and told us they were jealous and wanted to move was astounding.

Eufy announced this multiple times and the date was shown everywhere where Homebase 3 was sold. They moved the dates multiple times and changed the items that were compatible numerous times.
Again, source?

Personally, as I said, I buy Eufy so I have been following them closely and I HAVE seen where they have moved the timelines (in fact, several times) but I HAVE NOT seen where they promised compatibility, and then said they would not make it compatible. I've seen dates moved from 2022 to 2023, but I have never seen them guarantee 100% that the dates were guaranteed (or promised 100%). I'm not defending them, I'm just saying, let's call it as we see it and not add words or scenarios to what's going on.

No. Stand Alone or Homebase 3 at this point.

Yes, all battery cams have a small delay in detection.

The Homebase 3 is a wonderful product if your expectations are tempered. I own a full 4 camera Eufycam 3 system, it is THE BEST battery camera system I have ever owned. I'm invested in Eufy which I why I too am vocal about them. I own 3 pan/tilt 2k Eufy cameras and about 4 2k static indoor cams, as well as 1 outdoor wire powered Eufy cam. If I didn't mind my home looking like a prison, I'd buy more Eufycam 3s.

Eufy has been promising since last year that they would make almost all of their older stock as well as most of their current and new cameras compatible with the HB3. They have so far gotten through about 1/3rd of their products and some of the compatibility just allows cameras to save their data to the Homebase 3. Eventually, the plan is to give them BionicMind functionality as well. People are upset because Eufy gave a really aggressive timeline starting back in 2022 after the HB3 was released. This timeline has been revised at least 4 times that I can remember, Oct, Dec, Feb, and now May to later this year. The other issue is that they did not make it clear what compatibility meant and when the time came, it means "allows the camera to save data to the HB3" vs. adding BionicMind functionality, so again, people got upset.

The sad thing about products and services is that unhappy people are the loudest, most vocal ones on forums, etc. and they will spray nonsense and misinformation as facts. We've seen it right here. I was upset too because I purchased the outdoor wire-powered cam because it was promised "compatibility" despite my own rule never to do so. At this point, I'm just being patient. They have this new timeline [eufy.com] and I'm keeping hope that it will work out to be realized. It is also more detailed, with the type of compatibility aimed for as well. For most, especially those who aren't patient, I would just recommend waiting on getting the HB3 until their product is fully compatible.

Dud they were posted everywhere on compatibility. I am not going to waste too much time to prove anything when every person here knows this but you.

I bought it because they said it will connect with all their devices when Homebase 3 first came out.

what's the difference between this s220 vs the s230 that goes on sale for $130 quite often. I review the specs can cannot see the difference. https://www.amazon.com/eufy-Solar...B098X8XZFS
The main differences are

1) S230 has a spot light
2) S230 has Color night vision. meaning video will be in color at night
3) slightly bigger battery. Their specs say 4 months standalone time Vs 3 months on S20

The thing that I don't know is about the hardware specs. As 220 is new it has slightly better hardware but who can confirm this ?

Other posters mentioned the S230 being vulnerable to water damage.
I hope the 220 doesn't have that issue.
