Of course they also redefined what compatible means, check this out yourself!

They split out storage and the bionic mind AI stuff, this is just shady! I would refund my homebase if not already past the refund period!
Emailed support multiple times and they kept saying basically nothing.
Camera quality is ok and no issues, but definitely stay away because they do not advertise accurately.

base 3 issues but i have the homebase 2 and i guess cant complain about what i dont have...
Thank you, also, for your input.
I live in a safer part of the country with less riff raff and a more reliable police force. I always wondered why LA had so few cops for such a large city. NYC metro we are used to having a reliable police force.

Personally, as I said, I buy Eufy so I have been following them closely and I HAVE seen where they have moved the timelines (in fact, several times) but I HAVE NOT seen where they promised compatibility, and then said they would not make it compatible. I've seen dates moved from 2022 to 2023, but I have never seen them guarantee 100% that the dates were guaranteed (or promised 100%). I'm not defending them, I'm just saying, let's call it as we see it and not add words or scenarios to what's going on.

Eufy has been promising since last year that they would make almost all of their older stock as well as most of their current and new cameras compatible with the HB3. They have so far gotten through about 1/3rd of their products and some of the compatibility just allows cameras to save their data to the Homebase 3. Eventually, the plan is to give them BionicMind functionality as well. People are upset because Eufy gave a really aggressive timeline starting back in 2022 after the HB3 was released. This timeline has been revised at least 4 times that I can remember, Oct, Dec, Feb, and now May to later this year. The other issue is that they did not make it clear what compatibility meant and when the time came, it means "allows the camera to save data to the HB3" vs. adding BionicMind functionality, so again, people got upset.
The sad thing about products and services is that unhappy people are the loudest, most vocal ones on forums, etc. and they will spray nonsense and misinformation as facts. We've seen it right here. I was upset too because I purchased the outdoor wire-powered cam because it was promised "compatibility" despite my own rule never to do so. At this point, I'm just being patient. They have this new timeline [eufy.com] and I'm keeping hope that it will work out to be realized. It is also more detailed, with the type of compatibility aimed for as well. For most, especially those who aren't patient, I would just recommend waiting on getting the HB3 until their product is fully compatible.

I bought it because they said it will connect with all their devices when Homebase 3 first came out.
1) S230 has a spot light
2) S230 has Color night vision. meaning video will be in color at night
3) slightly bigger battery. Their specs say 4 months standalone time Vs 3 months on S20
The thing that I don't know is about the hardware specs. As 220 is new it has slightly better hardware but who can confirm this ?

I hope the 220 doesn't have that issue.
