eufy over promise and under deliver, bought the homebase 3 and they still don't support my floodlights, promised dates keep getting broken

It is good, just do be aware eufy has been put on a sorta quiet boycott for their lying of mishandled user videos, essentially anyone could tap into the cameras because of lack of end to end encryption, they did "fix" this after denying it for a while but ppl have lost all trust in the cameras i think anker overall is still a good brand, i have their robo vaccume doorbell, chargers cables, and even an indoor cam i own guns so im not scared if ppl try to break in my house

I have a bunch of the floodlight and floodlight pro, was excited about the AI face detection when Homebase 3 launched, it was promised to support floodlights I think originally for end of 2022, of course it kept slipping to mid June and mid August this year!
Of course they also redefined what compatible means, check this out yourself!

They split out storage and the bionic mind AI stuff, this is just shady! I would refund my homebase if not already past the refund period!
Emailed support multiple times and they kept saying basically nothing.
Camera quality is ok and no issues, but definitely stay away because they do not advertise accurately.

Two different orders?
I ordered 4 of the S220 on the same order and the discount was applied to all 4.

It doesn't on my end. I switched to another Amazon account to place the order.
Thanks. I wanted to check if I can try one and get another first.

Looks like I'll get 2 first.

Anyone using this with Homekit? How is it for you? Is the security connection going through apple or eufy's servers? I am currently with Logitech and home kit but logi keeps dropping connections and need to be reset every day.

Eufy is basically dropping support for Homekit. Cameras are limited to 1080p (although this is an Apple limitation), and you can only have four cameras per Homebase.

So, just received this yesterday and here's few things that don't look good:

1. Asks/insists on precise geo location. Umm, you don't need that to run (basically, am4z0n and others are mapping every wifi location to geo.) A pop up appears to allay fears "We take you security serious and retain data in your country" or similar. Ha. "All Your Security Belongs to Us" for you old schoolers.

2. Can't yet get it to complete pairing with a well running wifi router that other devices are on. Good until the connection attempts.

Lastly, Having two other Eufy devices, this is the first one asking for precise geo that I recall.

I would never trust a Eufy product in my home. If you aren't aware, they were caught red handed uploading your footage to the cloud without encryption and without your consent. Not to mention there is no way to set these cameras to record to a LAN server. BUYER BEWARE!

You're right, but now that this was revealed, they improved their end to end encryption

Your image and videos being sent from your camera to your phone WILL NEVER BE LOCAL. I'm not going to argue semantics, but that's a fact. Yes, it shouldn't be stored elsewhere, but it's being moved and possibly stored going from A to B

tell me what you wanted from Eufy, and now two me where I can get that.

thanks

Did they ever fix their reset issue? I believe all a thief had to do is take the camera and press the reset button. It deleted all of your videos from your base. Has this been fixed?

Are people still buying eufy products after their "local" cameras were found to be transmitting video feeds to their servers unencrypted?

Clueless, it has RTSP recording option. Obviously you are clueless to what it is. "LAN Server" 😂🤣

I wish eufy would get on board with HomeKit support. The ioT ecosystem seems messy right now. I hope standards prevail at some point.
