costco offers the Winix C555 Air Cleaner with PlasmaWave Technology for $139.99 after $40 manufacturer's savings is valid 6/7/23 through 7/2/23. While supplies last. Limit 5 per member.

this has been posted before for $179.99, but did not get much love. I don't know much about air purifiers but I'm looking for one with all of the smoke lately.

what's the deal with Costco not including a couple of spare filter... and also charging $3.95 for shipping?

I have 3 winix c545 models and 3 from coway.
What I noticed was Coway's sensor are very sensitive. On the other hand, Winix C545 would stay neutral all day long even when there's activity in the area such as cooking or dusty blanket.

This becomes apparent during the current canadian wild fire. All my 3 Coways are reacting to the terrible 400+ AQI air sneaking into our bedroom.
Meanwhile all 3 of my Winix C545 thinks the air is GREAT. I can literally smell the burning smell and it thinks it's all good.

A little google shows that Winix C545 has cheap inferior sensors. I regret buying 3. I am not sure if they fix this with C555 model but that's my experience.
I would not buy from them again. Go Coway! It's a Korean brand that had been dealing with Chinese smogs for years.

I've had two of these fail on me. Thankfully Costco took them both back, but I do not recommend this model.
