I'm just guessing, and maybe it's just my impression, but salted nuts seem to go on sale all the dang time, you hardy ever see the unsalted on sale (not just this brand but in general), thus the unsalted deal being more popular. (Which I notice because I only like the unsalted...which are rarely on sale)
