Get your new phone up and running first. Look for any issues for a week.
Do a factory reset on your old phone. take a picture of the screen with your new phone to show no issues of front and back while on. In case Samsung employee tries to pull a fast one on you.
Turn your old phone off and wrap it up. You can dop off at any Fedex drop off location or find a Dollar General store. They will scan the package and send a receipt notice via text to your phone. Samsung will receive a couple business days later and let you know they receive. Few more days until they get a chance to review and ok the trade-in.

$250 for a new phone :-D
I used the "Shop Samsung" app from "Play Store"
https://play.google.com/store/app...n_US&gl=U
I see one for $469. Was that it? Had to use recertified instead of refurb
How ridiculous
final tax: 68.75
TOTAL: $318.74
First, used Paypal 5% offer: $15.937
Then clicked on cb website Retailmenot 10% pre-tax cb: $24.99
Then used Bank of America credit with 4.5% cb for online purchase: $14.311426
Then went through Employee cb portal(this always stacks with cb websites) with 15% cb: $37.4985
Total cb: $92.74
Final price: $318.74-$92.74 i.e. $226
Very fair price to upgrade.
And I spoke to chat support as well, which I'm sure are in India somewhere and odds are they have VERY little authority to override anything anyway so they won't do any price adjustment.

As I refresh I'm seeing $629 appear for a split second before prices change to $1379 for the 512GB.
So I'm assuming the next price will be $629 mark my words
You're welcome for nothing lol

I tried desktop browser and the app and both are showing totally different prices, discounts etc. And this is using the same account.
Sometimes, you add 2 phones and the other disappears during checkout. Even pickup places are all over the place. It changes, disappears, redo cart again and shows you different stuffs every time. You see price but when you go to your cart, things change.
CS said they are having backend issues and will be fixed in the next 24hrs.... when the promo is gone.
Way to go Samsung!
