Roland sells a KSC-70 stand which fits it. As for folding adjustable stage stands, the keyboard enclosure is fairly tall (from the bottom of it to the keys), so is you want it at "normal" piano height of 28-29", you'll need one that adjusts as low as 23". I use a Hercules Z stand which goes to about 23.5". I think the tops of the white keys are at about 29".
I've been waiting for a discount on this piano for a very long time. Thanks a lot

Whoa this is tempting. Is there an option for a 'furniture stand' that this could go on?
Quote from Greggch :
It would be nice if someone else shared a good leg option for these keys.
If you guys want the legs, Just wait for their furniture model to go on sale. or buy the LP380 Korg for $750.

Also, how does this compare to the more recent Kawai and Korg deals?
Both good options, Between the Korg and Roland actions, they're about the same stiffness.

The Korg is better value since you get key cover and stand.

The 30X has slightly updated sound engine, but they both use Steinway based sound sample sets.

Kawai's prices aren't slick, YET.

Does this mean adjustable weighted action?
No, it means it has digital settings that makes the touch curve louder at a slower keypress, perceptually it's a little lighter, but the physical feel of the keys stay the same. laugh out loud

Physical synths are a very specific hobby, for production, most people use VST synths because they're just easier to work with in the studio.

I should find out what that means. Where does the Yamaha CK88 fit in that 'physical synth' versus 'VST'?

Dumb question: Would CDP S100 stand fit this by any chance?

Good luck! That's a massive rabbit hole you're asking about (if I assume you want both a 'piano like' digital piano with synth capabilities).

Very niche market sadly.

Unless you want to spend well above a grand or two, you may want to look at a Casio PX-560 (or a newer version of that model if it exists- been a while since I looked).

Around $1300. And is marketed as a stage piano + synth. It excels at neither function apparently, but again, for the price it seems to be the only thing in the market. If budget is not a concern there are quite a few options that are $2K+

I own a FP-10 (which has the same PHA-4 as this one) as well as a Korg LP-380U. There are some things I like better about Roland's action, but one reason why I ended up getting the Korg is that the Roland's action just a tad too slow to return keys. This isn't maybe a big deal for a beginner, but it makes certain fast repetitive keys and trills very difficult or impossible to play. And I'm not talking about some advanced pieces. The Korg's action is better in this regard, can't speak of Kawai but I would imagine they release faster, too. The Korg also feels more "solid", as in less key noise and wiggle, and just doesn't have as much "flimsy plastic" feel to it. One downside of the Korg is that controlling dynamics seems more difficult than it should be, but because I use it with Pianoteq I can adjust the velocity curve and make it more reasonable.

So, assuming my FP-10 has the same action and feel as this one (which, again, has the same PHA-4 action), I would honestly recommend Korg or Kawai over it. I don't own a Kawai but they have very good action as well. Personally, I prefer a stiffer action, so for me Korg/Roland fits my preference better than Kawai, which supposedly has a lighter action.

Disclaimer: I don't use the built-in speakers of neither my Korg nor my Roland, I use them with Pianoteq and headphones only. So basically just like midi controllers. So I don't have any opinion on how they sound.

Anyway, I also own a Yamaha Clavinova with wooden keys, which to me is still the "gold standard". The mass of the wood in the keys seems to greatly help replicate a more authentic feel, and controlling dynamics is a breeze. But it's also a very different price range.

How does this compare to the Yamaha p115? Is this an upgrade and if so, worth it? Thanks in advance!

I agree, the Casio PX560 looks like the best option in a lower price range. If you watch it on Amazon they drop the price every so often, not by a huge amount but the lowest price I have seen on this model.

For beginners learning piano, they all work just as well.

The s100 has a much lighter action, easier to play faster on, some people prefer lighter as opposed to the stiffer action on the fp30x.

115 has a lighter action.

Upgrade, not really. You'd have to have a specific use case that the fp30x does better.

Would this be a the go to buy for someone that is trying to first time learn a piano? Is this the best deal or should I wait for something better? There is another deal on this website for Korg Lp-380. Just really confused as to what is worth it.

For a very beginner I'd go with the smaller version of this, the FP-10. Same action as this. Costco has a nice bundle for $550 or so, the FP-10 with bench and decent stand and pedal. I'd probably upgrade the pedal.
