I got this for $73 a few weeks ago from Newegg. I've been really pleased with it so far. I have a 500 GB 980 Pro as my boot drive and I don't notice any performance difference between games installed on the 980 Pro or 670p.

This deal is probably the best choice for 90%+ of people building a computer right now. Great capacity, good speed, and a great price. Only synthetic benchmarks and really specific workloads actually need PCIe Gen 4 or 5 speeds, so don't waste your money on them if you don't need them.

This has NO DRAM cache correct?
HAS DRAM. QLC drive if that's a dealbreaker for you. You are unlikely to get DRAM and TLC anywhere near this price. Pick one.....

It's sold by microcenter btw and delivery shows early July so you may be better off walking into a microcenter and getting them to honor the sale.
It's the same price at Microcenter stores. I actually just picked one up this morning .

If you do the build coupon, it's only $44.99 for the 2TB or $14.99 for 1TB. Can't beat that.

Ordered a smaller version for my laptop back in early 2018. Got about five years out of it before I started to notice any issues with bad sectors that were actually affecting data. Not bad for the price point IMO. I'd feel comfortable ordering this if I hadn't just replaced that drive a few months ago.
That was probably the 660p, the 670p came out in 2021.

Laptops destroy drives in my experience, its not the write cycles, its the thousands of power cycles.

Why are there 2 different listings on Amazon for the 670p 2tb? Ones 69 and the others 72?

Intel 670p Series M.2 2280 2TB PCI-Express 3.0 x4 QLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SSDPEKNU020TZX1 https://a.co/d/hg6IJ4O

Intel 670p 2 TB Solid State Drive - M.2 2280 Internal - PCI Express NVMe (PCI Express NVMe 3.0 x4) - 740 TB TBW - 3500 MB/s Maximum Read Transfer Rate - 256-bit Encryption Standard https://a.co/d/3ITfLtY

Are they not the same?

Can anyone compare this ssd to the Intel Optane that's going for the same price?

Edit: NVM, the Optane is not the same size.

People on here would complain if it was free because it didn't have a $20 bill taped to it.

Because that's how Amazon works, yes it's their platform but different vendors sell their stuff on there and sometimes they sell the exact same thing... often the same things just rebranded.

The devil is in the details, the first is sold by Microcenter but shipped by Amazon, the second is sold by "Discounted-PC" and also shipped by them. But they are the same product. Coincidentally that's why sometimes you may see a "good price" on an item on Amazon, and when you get around to click it the price is more expensive because one vendor who had the "good price" had a limited quantity but other vendors pop up where they sell the same thing at a price not as good.

BB policy says it needs to be shipped and sold by amazon. This is sold by Microcenter.

I'd get one if not bought the newegg $73. Only $3 diff - not something worthy to complain.
