From my experience, it is always better to charge from cable when travel. 1) it is lighter without the charging pad, 2) it charges faster and more certain. (All you need is one bad connection when you go sleep, then it will ruin your next day's travel plan.)

5 ft USB-A to USB-C Charging Cable and 18W Quick Charger Included.

NOT the 20W fast charging versions like the 533s.

100% agree with the case issue. I fortunately had the ancient charger, but I took it on one trip and the phone didn't charge overnight cause it was about 1 millimeter off the stand. So it was pretty frustrating, thank goodness I had a lightning cable on hand. I was in the return windows so it went back to Amazon ASAP

I bought this from a previous slick deal. Small enough to pack when traveling and works well for my needs. I do with it was magsafe, but from what I have seen, they are way past this price point.

Almost a usable design - but requires ancient apple watch cord that everyone has lost and looks like the phone is not magsafe? Assume any case will make seating difficult.

Love their products but this one is a pass, and I'm actually chasing something similar right now.

Bought this for the wife ~year ago, her otterbox w/pop socket doesn't do well with charging. It might catch it after a couple of tried but it's just a bust at that point.
Watch charger placement is okay, if you have a 44mm+ w/ band, you can have some trouble keeping it from knocking over your phone or AirPods.
AirPod charger is the only thing that is a positive about this. Doesn't charge phones tho.

I'm not sure why they removed the split design. I have the older one and love it. It was compact enough to pack anywhere I can fit a cell phone.

My only guess is they wanted to move the AirPods charging to where the watch is so it's not behind the Phone stand and the magnetic connector between the two plates couldn't provide enough power for it. Which is reasonable since my only grip with the charger is that I have to reach around the phone stand to place the AirPods.

Does anyone suggest any foldable travel 3 in 1 station like this for the Samsung line (including the Samsung Watch 5)?

Would you please share which one you are chasing? Thanks.

I have two of these, one for work and one from home. They work great compared to other wireless chargers that I have tried.

Have this, it's difficult to see in the dark compared to my older stand since the light doesn't illuminate until you start charging.
