Travel is blacked out from Nov. 16 through Nov. 27, 2023. The Promotion code savings are applied before government taxes and fees. The discount is valid on new reservations only. The discount will apply only for select flights booked within the Booking Period while supplies last for travel flown within the Travel Period. Changes made to the itinerary after purchase will eliminate qualifications for this promotion and will result in the forfeiture of any promotion code savings. The discount is only valid with the provided promotion code and is not combinable with other promotion codes or fares.

I like to hack their subtle manipulations sometimes by browsing websites with a grayscale filter over my phone -- the bright red font colors typically used on those strike through price mark down labels are WAY less compelling when you can't see the color.

SWA rarely uses coupon codes.
NOTE important: If you use an expired, non-valid coupon code, your payment will not go through!, unless you erase the darn code from the coupon box! SWA does not tell you this, but I learned that the hard way yesterday, using invalid, expired codes found on the internet, and my valid payment would not go through and I kept trying and I did not know why it would not go through until I figured it out myself. Arrgghhh.
I did go ahead and book a flight on June 13, 2023, for travel in Sept., 2023. NOTE to get the discount, you don't even have to use the coupon code, you just need to travel on the dates (and time of day; certain flights only) indicated on their LOW FARE CALENDAR.
You will get the discount if you fly Tues, Wed, or Sat., AND if you fly at the discounted time of day (if not sold out), as it is always cheaper to fly on Tues, Wed, Sat. and choosing the lowest fare on certain flights (not all flights) on the day in question. It is true, the discount was not on all flights for the day in question, just on certain flights during the day on Tues, Wed or Sat. .
For my itinerary, I got a flight for $244 roundtrip (including all taxes and fees), Sept., 2023, flying on Tuesday, roundtrip, from Oregon to Oklahoma, which is a really good price. And, my flight does not leave, both going and coming back, until 3:30pm, so I do not have to get up SUPER early for a flight (although those early flights certainly were available.
HOWEVER, I have gotten a lower price (although rarely), with NO coupon code, just looking at SWA Low Fare Calendar and as always flying on a Tues, Wed, or Sat. I have flown the same itinerary, when on sale and when not on sale for $199 roundtrip (very rare) and $180 roundtrip (super, super rare). The lowest fare is usually about $325 for my itinerary, flying Tues, Wed, or Sat., flying from Oregon to Oklahoma, roundtrip. All prices quoted above include all taxes and fees.
SWA has a sale about once a month, and the use of the coupon code is kind of a joke, as it is unnecessary, based on how SWA normally operates their sales, discounts.
