Having seen the original movie, I was skeptical that this would be anywhere near as good. I was pleasantly surprised to find this remake captured the essence of the Swedish version.. but Americanized.

Movie was good until they inserted, awkward, modern politics. Newspaper boy did not fit with the storyline.
So sick of movies doing this. Just tell a good story already! Like maverick!

How many times do you really watch a movie? Really?
Once is good enough for me and when it is free.. $4.99 is a waste for me

Yep. I used to buy VHS tapes, DVD's, HD-DVD's, Blu-rays, and lots of digital. I have over 1,600 movies in my digital library, and honestly easily have over 100 that I haven't watched. Then there are also all the movies I haven't seen outside of what I own. The number of things to watch, and the ease of availability to them, for me made purchasing movies/shows obsolete.

It has been almost 2 years (except for the random price mistake) since I purchased a movie. Just too many things out there to watch and my backlog already is tremendous.
This and this. My much younger, naive self bought at least 100 DVDs, most at regular price. There's probably not even one that I watched completely more than one time, and many were never opened. There are too many great movies available and too little time to waste watching a single movie multiple times.

It's on Netflix in 4k!
This should be in the OP!

He hated the kid...right up until he got to actually know him. Imagine having an opinion on someone based upon who they are rather than what they are. (Or aren't.) Zero percent chance you can imagine that?
Nothing wrong with having the trans kid in the movie. But it was just unbelievable that this particular character who has so much disdain for immigrants, millennials, and guys doing stretches in tight pants would magically have no issue at all with a trans kid off the bat (his only beef was that he didn't park his bike correctly).

Couldn't stand this movie. The supporting characters were so freaking annoying and typecast, wish they would have just let the man kill himself in peace.

I am concerned for you and half of America.
Who forced you to watch this movie? How are you dealing with the trauma of having viewed the three minutes of entirely non-threatening scenes of acceptance, tolerance, and growth? How can we repair your fragile psyche after such a terrifying experience? The answers to these questions are important, but, please, above anything else, seek help immediately.
