Pretty sure RA offers no complete list anywhere of what's included in a BC offer, but the way I try to figure it out is by doing a pretend online order. It worked just now when I tried it--5 Pantenes showed I'd earn $0 BC, but when I added a Tide, it showed $10. May not be infallible, though. I tried to figure out that way whether Degree was part of last month's Unilever deal, and it didn't seem to be, but I was happily surprised when I bought some anyway. Tonight I noticed that it didn't work if the cart contained a mix of ship and pickup items. I can't remember well enough to be sure, but since I didn't know that when I was trying to figure out Degree, that may be why it didn't work for me then.
Thank you. That's very useful info. I didn't think of doing a pretend online order since I never order from RA. Now I have to figure out how I exchange the 4 Crest tp's that I bought earlier today for 4 Pantene. I already tossed my receipts.

Also, are you saying that Degree dry spray is part of the monthly Dove deal that ends this week? I have $2 Dove/Degree tear-pad coupons. Degree would be a cheaper way to go.

Do you ever do in-store pick-up? Somebody was saying that there's a way to pay in the store rather than online.

Wow. I was going over my paperwork and I found $28 that I didn't know I had. I have another card that has $45 on it but I don't know which one it is so I'm going to be buying a lot of caramels today. Hopefully, not $45 worth lol. I'm going to make a quick trip to RA when they open at 8 to see if they have Rimmel on clearance. I have 2 stores that are close to me. My favorite store is a longer drive and everything else is a really long drive. It used to be that every RA was a 10 minute drive but they closed so many stores that it's now 30 to 45 minutes. With gas prices so high in Cali ($6.29 a gallon the last time I looked) you can't go driving around anymore even for mm deals. I have to stay local and deal with stores that aren't as friendly. I hope that my local store carries Rimmel and it doesn't take me an hour to find it. Rimmel isn't the easiest display to locate. You can't go by the headers on the wall because they are 10 years out of date.

I'm back from my RA trip. They didn't have any Rimmel so I walked around the store aimlessly for 20 minutes until a light bulb clicked. I got 4 Olay body wash, 1 92oz Tide, and 3 Sally Hansen hard as nails. My total before tax was $51 and after coupons and sales tax it was $36. I paid with $28 Bonus Cash + $8 cash. I got back $35 Bonus Cash. My total for everything after tax was $1. I would've done way better if that store carried Rimmel but I can't complain. It was lucky that I found the $28 this morning because it was expiring in a few days. This is what I meant with my comment in the CVS thread about getting your money back. This is an easy deal to do and you're getting high quality P&G products and not paying anything. I'm not including Bonus Cash Challenges or any other rebates in my calculations. It's just a straight up deal. Plus, I have $8 tracking for my next P&G deal.

I stopped off at the 99Cent store on my way home to get more face masks. The purple and pink ones are on clearance for $3 (50 count). The white ones are still $5.99. I had a nice cashier and she gave me the white ones for the pink price. I'd say that my smile did the trick but I was wearing a mask lol.

The 99Cent store had Vitafusion gummies for $3.99. They also had Gaia Elderberry gummies. They weren't priced but most of the vitamins are $3.99 or less. I don't know much about the Gaia brand other than RA carries them and I bought a bunch a few months ago when there was an amazing deal on them. The 99Cent store is turning into the place to go for cheap vitamins. RA used to have everybody beat but I haven't seen a good vitamin deal there for two months.

(I thought I'd already replied, but don't see it, so evidently didn't finish and post it. Apologies if I really did tell this long story twice!)
Glad to hear your tip went well and sorry to keep replying only after you've already shopped. Re Degree and Dove being part of the same deal: I was talking about an already expired August monthly. As far as I know, the current Dove deal only includes Dove.

Seems moot now, but returning your Crest without a receipt might have gone just fine. Back when RA first stopped giving full credit for returns and everything seemed store-specific, inconsistent even at the same store, and the math too crazy to figure out, someone suggested that doing a return without a receipt was a way around the craziness. I think they said they got the full amount back on a RA gift card that way.

My only experience with store pick-up was not long after they started that. Couldn't use BC then, but I didn't have a huge amount anyway, and online pricing made a small oop quite a moneymaker. When I got to the store, the cashier had it bagged up and waiting me. She handed it to me and said that was all there was to it. I watched and waited quite awhile for my cc to be charged and the bonus cash to show up, but neither happened and eventually RA cancelled the order and the pending amount went back on my cc. I neither tried to get the BC nor to return the small purchase I never actually paid for. Cashiers not knowing how to do it and not being able to use BC pretty well eliminated any interest I might have had in trying again, but I too read that the transaction is finalized when you pick up, and you can use BC now (and paper coupons, too, I think?). I have thought of asking about it at my store if I remember sometime when they don't seem too busy to chat, but it still seems too complicated for that to be a high priority. It wouldn't shock me if my store still doesn't know how, and it seems to involve a whole third set of rules, different from either shipped online orders or completely in-store transactions. Main one I remember is that coupon codes screw up spend deals. Don't recall reports of how other kinds of coupons work.

Another use for pretend online shopping is to get an indication of how likely I am to find what I'm after. If a search by brand turns to "no results found" when I specify pickup, my store probably doesn't even carry that brand. If I'm after 2, and it will let me add 5 to my cart, that's a good indication they'll have stock. If I can only add one, they probably don't actually have any (but do at least carry that item). Shoplifting, etc. understandably screws up inventory records. Occasionally, online indicates they have lots of stock, but when I get there, the whole section is bare, in which case I suspect they're behind with restocking or maybe haven't received an expected shipment. Two other stores I used to visit closed. I think there are still some within the distance you'd be willing to drive, but I don't play as hard as you do. If I were to decide to make a trek, though, I'd check online, and if it looked promising maybe even give them a call. Not sure of current policy, but maybe they'd even hold items I really wanted for an hour or two.

It occurs to me that inventory discrepancies are yet another way for a pick-up order to go awry.

I've played very hard this week lol. I got off to my usual rocky start but once I got going it was a conveyor belt of deals. My biggest accomplishment was figuring out how to get $50 of lotion for free without any BC offers. Eucerin and Aquaphor (almost said fresh lol) with the $3 mq's, 15/50, 5/15, and 5/25. I got a 3/10 later in the day so the deal could've actually been a mm. I was in RA for around 6 hours. I didn't feel like going home and looking at the RA stock price. As the saying goes, when the going gets tough, the tough go shopping...

Congratulations on your deals! I hope that good shopping, good mood, and good health (relatively speaking, at least) feed on each other and help keep you on an extended upswing.

The transaction was at CVS. They don't have a void option.
A void option would make life so much easier at CVS but they don't want to tie up the cashier all day doing voids when CVS can make money off of their mistakes by making the customer foot the bill.
.
Since when? I'm sure they used to be able to Void a transaction. I think I've had to do it once or twice.

I, too, follow the bald eagles in Decorah. The nest site is about an hours drive from my house but I have never been there. My husband has been to the fish hatchery where they used to nest. Not really sure exactly where it is any more since the eagles have made new nests. Did love seeing the Swans use the old nest last year. Did you watch the swans too?

Also, the nice thing about watching the bears is that they become more active about the time the eagles are less so and vice versa,
I don't think I watched the Swans. Must have been pretty. I hope Jackie and Shadow will be back and can produce at least one viable egg. (so sad...) Wonder what ever happened to Harriet. (more sadness)

Update: Market Chatter: Rite Aid to Close Hundreds of Stores in Potential Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Plan
MT NEWSWIRES
4:29 AM ET Sep-26-2023
04:29 AM EDT, 09/26/2023 (MT Newswires) -- (Updates with Rite Aid (RAD.NaE) comment in the fifth paragraph)

Rite Aid (RAD.NaE) is in talks with creditors over a Chapter 11 bankruptcy plan that would include closing some of its more than 2,100 drugstores, The Wall Street Journal reported late Friday, citing unnamed sources with knowledge of the negotiations.

The company has proposed to shut down 400 to 500 stores and either sell these or let creditors take control, the report said. The number of stores to be closed is reportedly being discussed.

The company, which faces more than $3.3 billion in debt and over a thousand federal lawsuits, aims to conduct an auction process to sell its Elixir pharmacy subsidiary, as well as other parts of its business, the Journal reported.

The company has denied allegations that it filled unlawful opioid prescriptions and asked a court to dismiss a lawsuit by the US Justice Department, the Journal reported.

In an emailed statement to MT Newswires, Rite Aid (RAD.NaE) said it is working with its financial stakeholders to identify the best path forward to reduce its debt. "Given the conversations remain ongoing, no decisions have been made at this time and we are focused on reaching an agreement with our financial stakeholders that will make Rite Aid (RAD.NaE) stronger," the company said.

Sorry, I need to correct myself. It was not swans; it was actually geese. (I'll blame it on covid brain fog). The geese were very interesting as the babies jumped from the nest (70 feet up) shortly after being hatched. Unfortunately, if I remember correctly, one did get injured and did not survive. Here's a short video I found of the event. Enjoy!

Hi! I haven't opened this link yet, but I have seen, probably the same video, a few times. Its amazing how early they jump out! Its a high nest!! I remember trying to count how many jump and how many are walking later with their mother. I think I saw it posted on FB. Yes, I remember one did not survive.
Thanks.

I don't blame you for not opening the link. I provided it in case you were interested. There was no issue with my computer when I viewed it but if you've already seen it I'd say better safe than sorry and do not open. Have a good day!

OH, I wasn't worried about that. I was just in a hurry and had already seen videos of them leaving the nest.
Thanks!

I'm 1 out of 3. I had a great morning shopping and I'm getting ready for my afternoon trip. As for my mood, I started my day off opening up a Coke 12 pack. It split open at the back and a bottle rolled off the table and exploded onto the floor. Coke was everywhere. It took me an hour to clean it up. Then there's the RA stock crash yesterday so no, my mood isn't very good today. My health is getting better. If you have prostate surgery, you're going to be in pain for a month but I thought that I could get back to normal in 3 days. However, I still have the splitting headaches that won't go away which is why I'm giving my health a negative. I do appreciate your good wishes. I'd wish you the same but I don't want to jinx you and ruin your day. You don't want my luck lol.

They were both Keebler in the past. It just seems strange that Town House has been on sale multiple times, but club crackers have not (Publix and Kroger are my options, along with one Mom & Pop store).

I printed a $1/2 coupon from the kellogg's family rewards site, but haven't found a sale that I wanted to use it at. I hate paying full price for stuff when I can avoid it.

Wanted to make Pioneer Woman's Holiday Bacon Appetizer (the brown sugar variety) for Thanksgiving. I've been told that the Aldi brand of club crackers is not good. I'm sure I'll break down and buy at full price, but you gotta wonder why one is being advertised (and on sale) a lot and the other ignored.
Post above is from November of 2022

Thrilled to see my Publix will have BOGO on CLUB Crackers and there is a $1/2 coupon available to print. Looks like my family will get their Pioneer Woman's Holiday Bacon appetizer (brown sugar) this year.
Hasn't been BOGO or on a decent sale that I know of since I asked in November.

I took s'momma up on her suggestion and tried a cold Boost last night. It was ok but it definitely had a vitamin taste. The drink I had in the hospital was better. It was a famous brand (not Ensure) but I forget what it was. Maybe 3M or something like that. Anyway, I don't think that I would drink Boost for 240 calories. I'd have to like it a lot more. Now I have to get rid of my Boost stockpile lol. Obviously, I should've tried one first but I figured that it would be better than what I had in the hospital. The hospital one tasted more like a shake and didn't have the vitamin taste (or maybe it did and I was so drugged up at the time that I didn't notice it).
