I lost one of my cards (from back when they gave us three per account!) and someone has connected it to their prescriptions, so periodically I get an extra $5. They don't use the card for anything else though, that I can tell. I've tried to get help in the store to figure out how to remove it from the pharmacy records, but of course because of HIPAA, they can't help me.

I forgot to mention, one time I was able to scan the picture of the card on my phone at SCO. Wink

I was naming cards after the people in my life, ie "nosy" came about cuz my niece said to "not be nosy" while she'd been in the hospital and I was keeping her entertained with the goings-on of what I'd encountered while strolling around (ie apple juice was being handed out in another room). A few months ago, a SM threw me threw me off when he said, "hi Nosy!" Doh took me a minute to figure it out - I'd left him a survey & that card always gets surveys.

I had another awful shopping trip but at least this time I didn't lose my cards. I think that I lost my brain instead. I'm not going to try to find it. I'm better off without it. Maybe I can do deals that actually work if I give my brain to Goodwill. I tried that and they told me to go to the dump. The dump told me to go to the recycle center. The recycle guy said you've got to be kidding. I wish but if anybody wants a non-functional brain I've got one available...

It's like you've won the Q.lottery when ECB just pop in magically Coverlaugh I usually have to make quick decision - burn or roll? Given the lack of deals now, I'm quick to burn.

I saw a lady with a BIG BIG card earlier - was jelly.

At least he didn't call you Pinocchio.

What's weird about apple juice in the hospital? It's one of the few things that I look forward to except when you try to peel the top off it spills all over your bed and food. Spilling on the food is actually a blessing because then you don't have to eat it. Forget about trying to get a Coke. There's no way. If you're lucky - and I mean really, really lucky - you might get a ginger ale that's been sitting there for 5 years.

Btw, I worked in a hospital while I was going thru college. I don't think that you want to know the goings-on. Hospital workers are a crazy bunch. You have to be to keep sane.

I'm going to be nosy, aka curious? Where did you end up finding your 'lost' cards? Were they actually with you all the time or did you drop them or place them down some place and have to back track your steps to find them? In the distant past, I've done both - found them in one of my many bags of shopped goods so with me all along and also found them laying on a store shelf where I put them down to check out a product more thoroughly. My husband also left cards lay by the registers quite often and had to go back to the store to retrieve them; always found them right where he left them. I was always surprised that the cashier hadn't seen it/them and picked it/them up for 'safe keeping'.

I had them the whole time. I haven't been getting much sleep due to my surgery and the meds I'm taking. I'm up every 15 minutes peeing the whole night. I don't think that I've had an hour of straight sleep in 2 weeks. It's taking it's toll and I'm starting to unravel. The meds I'm taking are also bad news. I stopped them last night but it didn't help. I can't stop them for more than a day or two otherwise I'll be back in the hospital. This is the 3rd day in a row where I couldn't get anything going with my shopping. I had planned on finishing up RA for the month and then going to CVS to do CG and roll my ecb's. I did two transactions at RA and both of them bombed so I cut my losses and left. I don't feel like going to CVS. CG will be $7 before tax (to get $10 ecb's). They aren't going to price match with the online price so $7 is the best I can do. I'll be paying with $10 ecb's so I need a $3 filler. That's the problem. I'll spend hours trying to figure out what to get and it'll make my headache worse. I looked over the ad last night and I found 5 possible things to buy but none of them are anything that I want to do. Then there's the gas cost. $6.59 a gallon. The store is 30 miles away so that's around $15 in gas plus sales tax will be $2 a transaction. That's a lot of money and time to get nothing that I want. At this point, I wish that I had lost the RA money. It was over $1000 but I don't care. Money doesn't help me if I'm in the hospital in the psych ward. I keep on thinking that I can do things that I could easily do a year ago but I have to face facts. I can't do them anymore and I'm killing myself trying to.

Hubs has prostate issues and used to get up multiple times a night. He needs to have his knees replaced and he's been taking 2 acetaminophen at night for the last six months. He noticed he started sleeping between 6 - 7 hours a night and knew he had a urology appointment coming up, so he did an experiment. He quit taking the acetaminophen at night for a week and said those nights were the worst. He was up multiple times a night again. When he went back to taking the acetaminophen again, he went back to sleeping 6 - 7 hours a night. The urologist hadn't heard of this, but said he was going to look into it.

If you think you could safely take acetaminophen, you might try it.

I'm glad that your husband found a solution. My advice is that if his urologist tells him how great prostate surgery will be to run for the hills although it's going to be hard on two bad knees. Maybe I can race him with my broken hip.

Oh, I went to CVS and did my CG deals. I rolled everything except for the $15 ecb's from Gillette a couple of weeks ago (or maybe it was last week, I forget). My fillers ended up being Nature Valley granola bars, Pirate's Booty, and Skittles gummies. I've never had Skittles gummies before. I like Pirate's Booty but I'm not that excited about Nature Valley.

I'm seeing a lot of great Amazon deals on the SD front page. Maybe I'm doing the wrong thing by coupon shopping and I should be buying online from Amazon instead. Does anybody buy and/or sell on Amazon and what is your experience?

Besides the SD deals, the other reason that I'm thinking about Amazon is because of Peter. I'm looking for Brach's jelly beans but I can't find them and Peter said that I should look on Amazon. This makes perfect sense but Amazon never entered my mind. Amazon is very interesting especially since couponing is such a pita these days. In the last 10 years, I've only bought one thing off of Amazon which was a clearance computer so I'm a total novice.

I guess I've gotten the wizard upset with me before. Not to the tune of 10 years with no crts, but I have had a card survive about 6 months with only the weekly crts everyone got.
