I had a foot pump for my bike once. Never again. A pain in the ass to use. Slid all over the floor as I was pumping. Get a decent hand pump and call it a day.

If you're having trouble using a foot pump, maybe you shouldn't be riding a bike

Agree 100%. Not sure why these are even made. They're unwieldy and dangerous to use. I remember hurting myself as a kid trying to keep it in place. If you're having trouble using a hand pump, maybe you shouldn't be riding a bike

Have to disagree. I prefer these over standard bike pump. No bending back over, just stand there and pump away. Never had an issue with it moving around. Sure takes more pumps, but not as tiring on the leg.

One note , I don't press down as pictured, foot parallel to pump, but cross, maybe that makes a difference in it moving.

Buy a sun joe or ryobi inflator for like $10-15 more typically on here. You'll thank me later. Well worth vs a bike pump.

You can but it depends on what you are inflating. You could use this on a car tire in an emergency. And while a ryobi will work on smaller tires on sedans, they wont work on light truck tires and above.

Same here. I've been using this pump for three years. I'm 6'3", this is WAY easier than bending over a two foot hand pump and breaking my back. The totally thread-crapping insult of "if you can't use this..." is ridiculous.

I have never had this type of pump slip. Pay attention to what you're doing and all will be well!

I have a Craftsman inflator that is awesome, as it can be powered by battery, 12v car plug; or AC outlet.

But it's nice to have a non-powered, manual pump around too.

If you want to use for SUV/truck, get a bell high volume hand pump or similar. I have been using for 6 years now.
