Any proprietary parts or weird quirks one should be worried about?

Nice, and thanks for the post @OP

Gamers, be aware of the limitations that 8GB of graphics memory has these days.

New games seem to be trending toward wanting 16GB+ for high-res displays. 👍

Probably the most nicest (standard) pre-built system. But I would pass on this deal because the video card. It will already be limited with 8gb even at 1440p.

What's the reasoning for 8gb or 12gb from Nvidia?

My 1070 is still rocking for everything gamepass related. I figure a 3070ti would knock everything out of the park?

I had the lower end of this model, the Ram is not upgradable and same with other parts. It's been a problem with branded prebuilds by Dell Hp Lenovo that have locked bios motherboards

I posted this deal, as I was looking for a desktop PC and ended up pulling the trigger on this. I have been out of the gaming scene for a while (and I do have a Lenovo gaming laptop - the Legion, from 2019 that still runs great). I don't play a lot of games, and typically strategy and occasional AAA I like to try out (Starfield when it comes out likely). I realized the graphics card wasn't top of the line, but since I am not looking to run the best games at the highest resolution, not the biggest deal for me. My primary use is actually have 100s of browser windows open lol, so I need the 32 gb of ram - also running a lot of AI apps, not sure what exactly is important for that. I am hoping this PC is straightforward to upgrade if I do want to upgrade ram and graphics card, but I don't know enough, maybe someone else can give some insight into that.

Do you mean the older version? All of this generation you can upgrade everything. Technitwit on youtube has some excellent videos on replacing parts in prebuilts including the Legion.

I have a Legion 7i, and have taken it apart. I've added 2xM2 SSD's in addition to the one it comes with (so 3 total). I've also added in a 2nd harddisk drive (and the power and IO cable for the 2nd drive are already wired in, so that's nice). I've also added in another 32gb of RAM. Overall so far it's been pretty easy to upgrade. Pretty spacious interior inside compared to a lot of computers out there.

This is incorrect. You can upgrade the ram, but enabling xmp may be an issue, not all oem's allow it.

Thanks for the insight man. I was thinking the only thing I was want to upgrade soon is adding in another harddrive, so that's good to hear that it is straightforward.

You're welcome, since yours doesn't have any drives in it there should be wiring for 2x3.5" drives, so that's nice. You need to take off the "back" (opposite side of the glass) to get to the 3.5" drive slots.

Playing on max settings and 2k+ resolution. I've been playing on low-medium just to hit 60fps on my 1050ti
