I use a squeegee from a dollar store because I feel like the best solution is to just remove excess water from sitting in place for hours/days/weeks. Takes a minute longer than spraying from a bottle so there is a trade-off.

Not what I do, but you could use probably use some highly diluted bleach and a squeegee for even better results. It's a shower so whatever you're using is going to wash off with enough time, just make sure it's very diluted.

(not a professional cleaner at all)

The best way I found to clean my shower glass with hard mildew is:

Spray with vinegar and let it sit 10 min
Throw some baking soda on the glass
Put salt on half a lemon and scrub
Wipe off

I grabbed a few of the Method cleaners on sale last week, including the Mint scented bathroom and toilet cleaners.

That was a mistake. I cleaned my bathroom with them this past weekend and while there was no nauseating chemical odor, the mint scent was honestly just as bad and equally nauseating.

Use Sodium Percarbonate. This is also best to clean traveler mugs with stains.

Mix with enough *warm water to make a paste. Let sit 15 minutes. Apply to stain and rub, then wash.

**Note: Sodium percarbonate will fizz when added to water. Always use a large enough container so it will not overflow when mixing.

During the height of the pandemic, the cleaning product shelves were empty except for Method products. It was just something I noticed. Perhaps they were priced higher or maybe people didn't trust that there weren't enough chemicals in them to kill germs.

Not sure about the ingredients you'll find. Method ones are plant based and strictly don't test on animals; they do tend to be a little more expensive.

I've been using method products since pre pandemic. The pink grapefruit by far is my favorite. They also have one specially for the bathroom to kill the germs. Leaves a nice, clean fragrance.

I recommend it.

In terms of performance, almost all dollar store cleaners will do just as well. People don't buy Method for performance. They spend the extra money for the philosophy of plant-based products. Let's be honest, "plant-based" changes are generally less harsh since plants didn't evolve to clean. I want to be harsh on dirt and stains, so give me synthesized chemicals anyday. It's not like I'm washing my face with this stuff. But the truth is that it's all a schtick.

Look at the ingredients and you'd see all kinds of chemicals that don't exist naturally. They've been processed so much that their plant origins become irrelevant. And the fact is that no solvents or cleaning ingredients are derived from animals anyway. And none (in America, at least) are now tested on animals.

While I don't plan to waste my money on Method, I will say that the Pink Grapefruit scent is the best smelling cleaner I have ever used. I found a bottle of it when we moved in. As for dollar store cleaners, you of course have Fabuloso and other brands that mimic it. Many people find their scents chemically and overpowering.

The problem is that many soaps, especially solid bar soaps, leave soap scum when the water dries. Mix that with your dead skin and you'd have a sticky mess. It's the same reason drains get clogged. Soap and fat resolidify with hair and other debris, forming clumps.
