OEM is Channel Well Technologies. They are a MAJOR OEM who also make Corsair's RMX 850w. Product itself reviewed well, but was subject to US tariffs making it's price higher than it should be. That said it doesn't have as much brand tax as others.
Bought this last November for $87.19 on sale from Newegg. So far so good.

Anyone know if you can get more sata cables? Cablemod is custom only, and thermaltake's own cables don't list this PSU as supported.

I went ahead and bit on this. I've been shopping 850w power supplies for a few weeks. This is a pretty good deal for an A Tier power supply.
If you can hold off on building for 2-3 weeks you may get a better deal on prime day. Still a good deal at 109 but just know I paid 89.99 last prime day.

This seems nice and fully modular to boot. Is this worth buying now for a build I will be doing in about six months or so? I am not a Prime subscriber...

I would wait...6 months is an eternity in these conditions. Even if you're not a prime subscriber, a lot of competitors will price match. Plus you have black friday in 5 months.

Wait for prime day. (or buy this now and don't open it until after prime day). Power Supplies aren't like other tech, there's no reason for a modular power supply of this wattage to drop significantly in price since it doesn't really become obsolete.

I paid 89.99 for this last prime day (a year ago).

This goes for all PC stuff btw, I saved HUNDREDS by buying my stuff on prime day. It's been a year and I still bought a lot of my stuff cheaper than I can go buy it for right now.

Edit: I got this wrong, apparently it was for a different model. SFX model is the one the comment below is regarding.

This review of the power supply from HWBusters (one of the few I could find) says,

"OCP (Over-Current Protection) is sky-high on all rails, and to make matters worse, the PSU broke during the cold OPP (Over Power Protection) test, exceeding 150% of its max-rated capacity! To add insult to injury, the second sample broke during the over-temperature evaluation test. It stopped working at 185°C and didn't start again. HKC needs to take a good look at the protection features."

The review: https://hwbusters.com/psus/therma...-review/8/

What is OCP: https://www.tomshardware.com/revi...,6241.html

What is OPP: https://www.tomshardware.com/revi...,6242.html

Newegg reviews: https://www.newegg.com/thermaltak...6817153441

While it is a single source, over current/over power protection is critical to your power supply and your PC components. I would do more research on this item before buying it. You don't want to have to replace your power supply and all the components it took with it if the protections are bad.

The review you posted is not for this PSU model; it's for an SFX PSU model based on a completely different OEM platform.

The Thermaltake GF1 has multiple reviews on many sites including Tom's hardware and Kitguru
