This show is up there with Better Off Ted for shows that were far too good to have been canceled after 2 seasons. I still want an explanation for this.

True. But the second is 19. So call it one extremely long season for $9.99 or less for an extremely funny show.

This show was gold! Such a shame it was on ABC and not a cable network where it could have survived several seasons. It just wasn't typical network TV blandness.

Better off Ted is immediately what came to mind when someone above said 'best show you've never seen'. It was so witty and hilarious and I'm still mourning it's disappearance over a decade later. The B in Apartment 23 is pretty good too.

Having watched this a few times in the... standard? order, I loved it. I suppose I could give this a go the next time I watch it. Thanks!

edit: Maybe I already have watched it in the correct order? I don't recall ever having the jarring from episode to episode as was mentioned in your blog links.

I think the network saw the decline in ratings and decided they should change the order to what was the best episodes they had. One of the characters kept going from employed to unemployed and looking. I looked it up on IMDB and thought I must have missed an episode but the network intentionally changed the order.

This show was great because it was so unpredictable. The time slot kept changing so I think they lost their audience. I believe if another cable network or if streaming was around that they would have picked it up and ran with it for more seasons.
