I stumbled upon this yesterday and mentioned it in a different Delta 2 thread. It was perfect timing because I had a 10% off coupon on the Home Depot credit card that was due to expire on Wednesday. I applied the coupon and paid $944 plus tax.

That felt like a Slickdeal indeed.

I had been watching Will Prowse videos recently. Consequently I had all the recommended particulars in my Amazon cart...LifePO4 battery, inverter, controller, fuse box, discharge monitor, etc.

Once I pounced on this Home Depot deal I said screw that and deleted everything.
Lol, this will be much less hassle than rolling your own custom LFP charger/inverter setup.. and at ~50c/kWh, it'd be difficult to build your own system for less.

I am new to generator. If I buy this, how would I set it up? Do I need an electrician or can I set it up myself?
Also, how do I select what things I want on generation and what I would leave out such as water pump etc ?
This is not a solution for running your home during a power outage, this is a solution for running some smaller appliances/devices a while.

There are many models (including some that can run a whole house but you're talking $5k+ for a unit like that) that have different specs that are good for different use cases so you really know what you're looking to power, how long, and anticipated power draw.

Can these be paired with a delta pro?
It can be paired with a Delta Max battery. I believe all 3 can be paired as long as it's one of each...Delta 2, Delta 2 extra battery, and Delta Max battery.

There is a competing deal at Home Depot on the Delta 2 plus the Delta Max battery. I mentioned this $1049 in that thread last night. That $1449 deal -- unlike this one -- qualifies for $400+ in tax rebates but the Delta Max battery is not LifePO4.

I wonder if installing two of these would qualify for the federal tax rebate? I.e. 2 X 2048Wh

Anyone know if this stacks with the home depot 10% off coupons? I was looking at possibly getting one online

Absolutely. I was so relieved to not only delete the Amazon items but also several YouTube videos with terminology and recommendations I'll happily forget within days

This will not quality for 30% federal tax credit since the capacity is below 3kwh, correct?

It worked for me. I had a targeted 10% off coupon as long as I used my Home Depot credit card. It went through online with no problem. I went to checkout and the promo code box appeared at right, just below the price of the item. All the other stuff like name, address and payment method were at left.

The only issue I had was it wouldn't accept the 10% coupon until I selected the Home Depot credit card as payment source.

I purchased a coupon elsewhere and was able to use it for 10% off.

Dang for sure, I Just bought a delta 2 and then a refurb from eBay. The eBay delta 2 has extremely loud fans, new one doesn't…. Wish I could've got this instead Stick Out Tongue
Can you please elaborate? What up with fans? Delta 2 has most loud fans, are you saying they changed something?

Is it just standard mc4 connectors? Meaning I can use regular rigid house panels? I don't want the flexible panels due to price and power output issues.

Too early. This has only 800wh usable, you still need battery storage if you want to use it for extended period of time, I'm talking about few days. I need it for 3-4 days, I'll be adding few 100a batteries and some charge options for extra batteries. Original batteries are too expensive

Yes, you can use panels with standard MC4 connectors, you'll just need the MC4 -> XT60 converter to plug them into the Delta.

That said, make sure whatever panel configuration you have is within the solar input capacity - particularly Voltage (11-60V).
