Slick! The trade-in does not need to be a Kindle. Works with Fire sticks and old routers too.

The key to getting instant discounts is checking what old devices are on your account.
Hopefully can do the same thing with another old device for a Fire 11 Max Prime Day.
However, just tried to drop it off While Foods. Even though my email quotes $30 for the trade in value, nothing the girl could do in the system when trying to accept the trade in got me more than $15.
I decided to try again another day, but beware that Amazon is going to try and screw you when you do the trade in.
Edit: and now we just got charged $30 because Amazon said they rejected the trade and will send it back... but it's in my possession literally sitting next to me.

I just checked that the terms does not seems to include any terms about charging back the coupon discount though.

Whole Food may have cancelled your previous trade in to process a new trade in which prompted Amazon to void the $30 credit and 20% coupon.
