Spray ammonia on the stovetop, cover with saran wrap and wait.

I do sprinkle baking soda on top of the stains/hardened oil/residue etc and put vinegar on it. I use a cheap vinegar to do the trick. Once it reacts, you can wipe them off easily.

That sounds annoying to do, for $3.60 you guys are jumping through too many hoops for a simple spray, wait and clean.

Will give this a go for my gas stove-top range griddle…
