Regarding the 55 inch, the colors were terrible and all washed out. No matter what I did, I never could get the picture to be acceptable.
However, when I connected a Fire Stick 4K Max and tried to adjust the picture quality while the TV was in the HDMI input for it, picture quality improved extraordinarily. Once I adjusted the Black Level and White Level via the Screen Test app [amazon.com], I saw a big improvement.
I set the Fire Stick 4k Max Display settings to the following before adjusting the picture settings when using the Screen Test app [amazon.com]….
Color Depth = 12bits
Color Format = YCbCr
Dynamic Range Settings = Always HDR
I mention all this because at first the 55 inch version of this deal made an awful impression and I'm assuming that the 43" version will have the same issues.
IMO you can improve picture quality dramatically by not using the built in FireTV OS of these TVs and using a Fire TV 4k Max stick instead.
Last year 55 inch for 10 bucks more

The refresh rate, ghosting, etc. There are reasons why monitors cost so much money when you slap 4K on it even for a small one.
Even with a $1,400 OLED I have, I still prefer my monitor and that thing is high end luxury compared to this which is on the lowest end of the spectrum.
Only at a distance would I game with this and I wouldnt do that because I wouldnt want such a small screen thus I wouldn't get this for gaming at all. Maybe Nintendo.

When you're up against bots, suddenly this invite scheme doesn't seem to bad.
Your chances of getting this price are low but possible.

I also understand that everybody on SD has different standards and amounts of money to throw at hdtv's, so , as long as you get something that "looks good to you", that is all that matters.
I remember 10-15 years ago, hardly anyone used hdtv's as computer monitor, so people suggested I was "crazy" to use HDTV'S as computer monitor. That has all changed over the years, and now it is pretty main-stream.
I also have 24 inch monitors in different rooms, that work great for me up close and personal. But it does depend on what you plan to do with your computer, if you are into heavy duty photo stuff, cad, super gaming, than YEAH, ... this would not be my first option.

I compared it against the tcl s455 that I bought last year for a similar price. It gets brighter than the TCL but yeah it lacks 444.
I was pretty much saying "for my use", I mostly surf a few web sites, check banking, and other services, and youtube videos, and tv shows/ movies ...email, etc. Nothing fancy .
If you have specialized needs , than you might want to re-think how you might want to use another one of your computers in main Living Room, or Bed room, for bigger sized hdtv's. The hdtv's like this has options to plug in roku, android, amazon sticks, and other devices, and bluetooth, wifi, and speakers compared to plain PC monitors. We have guys in this room, that buy very expensive computers, graphic cards, and OLED big screens, ... and maybe they think of buying something like this for porch, bathroom, or kid's room, or as secondary hdtv in same room, so all are welcome. For 100 dollars for 43 inch hdtv 4k is pretty cheap for most of us, like chump change.

Not as fast as I would like, but the storage is as good as a cube, so If I get a invitation, I am going to take one to replace a 2020 42 inch Toshiba AFTV I got from BB . The 8gb not even close to enough for the added tuner for the TV to the OS . Storage has always been my beef! I don't know if we will see a cube lower than this ($100) on prime day.
My benchmark on a 2nd gen cube was at woot is $40, if it ever becomes available available again and I would get that over the $25 Max.. It would take, a $60 3rd gen cube to get me to bite, but not holding my breath on that one, maybe BF, but I can hope..
No more 8gb storage PLEASE! I am not EVER going to buy a stick (GCC,ONN, Firestick) unless it has 16gb or more in 2023. At least this model seems to have 16gb.
