I was thinking about using this for my 2nd phone. The phone I use only for work calls and such. Would this be a decent service? Not sure how much data MS Teams uses when not chatting a lot, basically just connected in case someone messages me. Outlook email also. When you hit the 2 GB limit and get soft capped, what actually does this mean? Just slower data but data still works?

Yes, soft-capped means your internet doesn't stop completely.

In this case, the data will be very slow but with patience you'll be able to use messaging apps, receive emails, load maps, etc.

That said, I recommend MobileX (Verizon MVNO) for your use case - since you'll be using it for business, and don't need the roaming. It's about the same price.

Looks like a good plan, but I spent about 20 minutes trying to get a SIM card, and the site would either throw up errors or just stop working entirely. Tried multiple browsers, multiple checkout methods etc. I'll be curious to see if anyone manages to actually get this plan

Update: don't bother with the website. Install the app, set up an account there, then look for the option to buy a sim inside the app. That worked fine.
