Ingredient isn't terrible, but why Citric Acid? Does a dog need that?

Our dog is on a raw chicken and organ diet. We avoid giving her corn and some of the crappier fillers. We got Bocce treats before and she reacted well, so giving these a try.

Our cavapoo didn't like these at all. Probably to each their own but the only treats he's liked are the Simply Nourish Soft Chews and the Freshpet stuff that tends to go bad quickly.

Citric acid is a natural preservative. Its high acidity makes it difficult for mold and bacteria to grow.

yea but that's not where most citric acid comes from. manufactured citric acid comes from a form of black mold
