how is it years later? I'm asking as a total noob who wanted to try this online PVP but had no rush as games like AOEIV took up plenty time.

I played the non-remastered version of WC3 10+ years after it came out and enjoyed it. I only played the single player campaign, so I can't comment on whether the multiplayer holds up or whether there's a community out there still playin it.

Did this ever get "fixed"? Saw it was a huge mess at launch, and no patches during COVID, features that were promised and never implemented, etc. - may not be worth your hard earned money if they overpromised and under-delivered.
