I always thought my night led lights were malfunctioning but it was because the combined 4 rechargeable batteries totaled 4.8v at full, which is closer to the cut off voltage but the light started to flicker.

Just this week I needed some AAA's and priced them at Walmart and Kroger. Crazy expensive. About $1 each no matter the count.
