I have this plant, it's about 3 years old and now it's about 2 feet tall, and in a 12" terracotta pot. Be warned to keep it mostly dry or it won't be happy (cup water once a week; when I first got it, it got 1/2 cup water once a week). New leaves are bright green, turning to almost black a couple of weeks later. Good luck.
