seems like a solid deal. People will crap on the 12th gen processor but it is still a solid machine for the price point. My son has the 14inch with i5 processor and 8ram for college the past two years and loves it.

If you are gaming on it the 13th gen is a better performer but if not for gaming this should be a solid machine. I have been shopping around for weeks for a decent deal. Trying to stay under $700. ... probably pulling the trigger on this one. (*I do not game...mostly for business work, excel and word work, and some occasional video/photo editing).
Tough to find a laptop with i7 and 16g ram and TB ssd (edit...looks like this is 512GB SSD...not 1TB it has conflicting info). for this price with touch, backlit, etc. ...just trying to get more info on the screen.

But I also am open to others' opinions on this machine.

Oh, Walmart? It will never arrive. Things related to expensive products always get delivered but never actually do.

And what NewEgg & Walmart never tell you:

16GB soldered memory, not upgradable

Also slower memory. This comes with LPDDR4x-4266 instead of LPDDR5-5200

https://psref.lenovo.com/Detail/I...82R80002US [lenovo.com]

More and more computer manufactures getting away from soldered memory in their tablet style laptops, while Lenovo seems to be doing it more and more to their lineups, including their non-tablet style laptops.
The sad truth is that maybe 80%-90% of non gaming laptops have soldered, non-upgradable RAM and this is not a thing worth mentioning.

You may want to do a double take on those RAM speed numbers. Although what you said is true, the difference probably can't even be perceived.

I wanted to know did you find anything or did you get this? I am looking within budget of 700. Problem is I'm not as savvy.Im not a gamer but want to play Oculus sometimes, YT shows. I want speed and power, and storage. Just checking, so I can see if you ran into something within the budget. Thanks

The 14" one sells like $499 in costco https://www.costco.com/lenovo-fle...54221.html , with 16" fits guys prefer a larger screen for work and video worth $130 more to me, and the CPU is a bit better too, in addition 8gb->16gb, 256gb->512gb. What you think?

With costco one of 14" sells for $499 https://www.costco.com/lenovo-fle...54221.html Lenovo Flex 5i 14" Touchscreen 2-in-1 Chromebook Laptop - 12th Gen Intel Core i3-1215U - WUXGA - Storm Grey | Costco, with less memory and hard disk, and a bit lower CPU. For this 16" of $130 more I think it's worth it to me. What you think?

the other one similar at Costco with AMD R7 and 14" for $849 Lenovo Flex 5 14" 2-in-1 Touchscreen Laptop - AMD Ryzen 7 5700U - 2240 x 1400 - Windows 11 | Costco https://www.costco.com/Lenovo-Fle...51696.html There were $350 manufactor rebate before, which is really sweet now after it expired 07/02. In comparison, this 16" is actually a very good choice if you like to work with larger screen and hence a little heavier too natually.

NVM on the delete...

It does appear the Walmart deal is dead but direct from NewEgg is alive for the next 13 hours.

NEED ADVICE PLS: What about this one for lower price and looks like decent specs for the price but open to advice I order this but I can still cancel I think: (
PS I realize it is renewed and I'm hoping that means that it will be reliable, and has 90 days return policy to give it a good check out. I'm not a gamer just looking for decent quality laptop for the price)
