This does appear to have one of the nicest and brightest screens of the laptop deals posted currently which is a plus.
Also, this laptop isn't anywhere near as thing as they claim. They measure without the feet. It's 1 inch thick in reality, not .68 inches.
Mine plays forza, fortnite and even flight simulator pretty well.
This only has a white back-lit keyboard whereas mine has rgb (not sure why they don't both but...) other than that and the 6900 cpu, they are identical. Battery life is pretty bad ~ 8 hours best case. And gaming performance on battery I'd horrible (on high settings) which is par for the course on gaming laptops, but if you game with it plugged in its an amazing machine. I bought the g14 before this and the g14 was way more portable (14 inch vs 16 inch screen) and the screen felt bright/more crisp even though they both supposedly have 500 nit screen, same resolution screens. That being said, the screen on this is still excellent and the full metal construction is what makes this the better buy over the g14 which had some quality issues (in my experience)

As far as warranty concerns a lot of the time you voided it as soon as you opened it up to do anything even cleaning. Sometimes they allow cleaning or replacement or certain parts. In the case of Lenovo they list storage and memory as user replaceable parts so changing them does not void your warranty.

There's a huge difference between soldering and de soldering, and de soldering is exponentially more difficult the thinner your device is.
When you apply fresh solder you don't need to worry about constantly cleaning the surface, nor do you have to worry about accidentally damaging parts of the pcb outside the solder target.
Even if you could do it properly (and that's a big if), a lot of this kind of laptop has additional security chips interlocked with the soldered ram that make it impossible to replace without the engineering credentials. Linus tech tips forums has discussions of this with people who wanted to upgrade zephyrus soldered ram.

If it's that big of a deal just don't do it or go with any of the Legion models other than "Slim" since it's the only soldered one.
