This is a specialized tool - it's a very lightweight backpack for Multi-Day hiking. For that use it's great - it's not the lightest, but I find it a great combination of features/fir for weight and this is a great price.

Nice deal. Incredibly lightweight for a 60L pack, it's almost worth considering as a large daypack, especially if you have bulky clothes or end up carrying more than your fair share of gear (coughKids)

Women's fit version also on sale here:

Great pack. My only complaint is that they used straps that were a little thinner than is prefer to save weight. For reference, I paid $150 around Black Friday 2021 and thought I got a steal.

This is the regular sale price that you will see often. Been following backpacking for a while and they do come in and out of this price

Depends on the stuff you'll be carrying. You buy the pack based on your other gear. Not the other way around.

Hyperlite Southwest 40L [hyperlitemountaingear.com]

Gossamer Gear Gorilla 50L [gossamergear.com]

Just my very biased opinion.

You could fit all of that in a 20L day pack with some room to spare for an emergency overnight kit.

I just got back from my first real backpacking trip in the Uintahs(Utah). My pack was 65L(38lb) and I think I'd want 75 minimum for the next trip. 60 seems really small to fit all the essentials.

I used a Klymit pack and it wasn't the best in reliability but feature rich.

I'd be carrying another persons change of clothes and towel too. I have a North Face Recon and it says it's 30L but it can't barely fit most of the stuff I listed.
