Yeah, the original intent of the program has mostly dried up unless you live in or near a major city and happen to get lucky on the event ticket roulette for something you actually want to see.. So yeah, the occasional Verizon discount coupon is nice for electronic stuff but the consistent $5-8 /mo ones were preferable. I don't think $3 every few months to a store that has no locations within 100 miles of my home is not worth the data trade off. I've got it on my list to figure out how to dis-enroll from Up as well.

Claim a free $5 gift card on Verizon Up. Go to the Verizon app, choose Verizon Up at the bottom, touch "Show All Offers", and it was on that list. It immediately gave me a gift card number and pin.

I check the app daily, and have not seen anything for months like this offer. Last one was Starbucks over 3 months ago. Hopefully there will be more soon.
