I have an older Asus with 8 GB and another lappy with 16. You definitely want the 16 if you are investing in a new laptop.

It may be worth keeping an eye on this for steep discounts on used units in the coming weeks. One might expect a lot of returns for a computer whose listing title gives erroneously superior specs.

If anyone's curious our Zenbook 14 OLED died this year and Best Buy fixed it in about 10 days. We dropped it off at Best Buy (wouldn't power on), and they shipped the same one back, now working, and also fixed the body which was splitting and the hinge which was funky.

Costco has this model with an i7 and 12 gb ram for 699 . 1 x 8gb soldered , the other 4gb you can swap out the other one.

Yeah I call bs. If it allows you to swap the ram it's already a completely different model since the ones in this series are soldered only. I'm also pretty sure this is a best buy exclusive model

Which one are you talking about? None of these have 12GB of memory, even with the out of stock filter on.

To be fair, soldered ram is much more forgiveable when the laptop comes with 16GB to begin with (as is the case in your link). It's the combination of the soldered ram and the paltry 8GB capacity that makes that makes this post bad at $600.
