How does this compare with Jamo 809, Klipsch R-26fa , Klipsch R-625FA? Anyone tried this before?

I'll give my opinion but I'll preface it by being open and honest about the fact that I've only ever heard/owned the Jamo S809 towers you mentioned and have no experience with the Klipsch models or these Monolith speakers. I am far from an audiophile but have been training my ears across many dozens of models and brands over the last few years as well as researched a pretty decent amount.

That being said, I am pretty sure these Monolith would be a much better buy than any of the models you mentioned. I'm not a Klipsch hater and they make some good high end items but none of what you listed will be very well balanced. They would be more than fine for many users that don't really care and just want big and bright sound. If that is you, there is no shame in it. If you are looking for a more premium listening experience and price is not a factor, I would go with the Monolith. I've almost pulled the trigger on some of these crazy sales numerous times but I've just changed over my entire home theater from KEF to Monitor Audio (for fun, not because I didn't enjoy the KEF) and I just can't justify picking them up as a toy to play with and sell off. The previous sales have caused me to do some product review dives into some of these Monolith speakers and they have all been praising of the performance (reviews based on scientific measurements and solid experience in the field so not just paid reviewers who do nothing but day how great the products are), especially for the price. When you factor in that the price they typically reference in reviews is the standard MSRP, these sale prices are pretty insane.

Again, I'm basing my feedback on my own experiences and research to give me an opinion but I'm not going to be an expert. Please take this feedback as being helpful in intent but with a grain of sand.

One day, I'm sure I will cave and end up getting some Monolith speakers to play with. I'm pretty sure if I pulled the trigger right now, my wife would smother me in my sleep.

Do you know if this 4 ohms speaker can be connected to Sony dh540 or other receivers that say 6-8ohms?

Anyone has ideas or suggestions on how this would work or not work with sony dh540 receiver?

Also how would this compare to sony cs3 floor standing speakers?
