joking aside, i think this is a bit too small? I mean typical trash bag is 13 gal for kitchen so it's a bit of waste there.

For what it's worth, the brushed nickel version is only $32.32 after 20% off coupon.

Do these seal well when shut?

Living by myself I only use a store bag sized trash can an empty every 2 days or so. Pizza an wine boxes an 2 liter bottles of vodka would just be a waste of trash bags.
