If you're planning on the 12700KF for $220, this is the complete deal. It's essentially $100 for the RAM and $100 for the board.

Killer deal I might just resell the RAM since I wanted all white components. Either way cheaper than cpu and mobo not on sale

This is ~$9 cheaper than the bundle I bought last month that had this CPU and board with Corsair RAM. I'm running it with a Noctua CPU cooler and have been very pleased with it so far.

Edit: misread listing

I just built a system on the MSI Z690 Tomahawk board. It included a USB drive with all the drivers on it. This listing on Newegg shows a CD for the drivers. You can obviously make your own USB drive, but it was neat that I didn't have to do that. I would imagine not many people are putting optical drives in their builds these days.

Worth getting this combo to go with a 4090 founders edition or would I be better served with a 7950 or 13900?

Depends on the workload, in gaming a 4090 will push a cpu bottleneck in some games even at 4k. With any currently available cpu.

If you're 1440p or lower, I'd skip the 4090 and get a 4080/7900xtx.

If you're going all out and it's a primarily gaming build id snag a nice b650/x670 board and toss a 7800x3d in it. It should keep you going for a couple more cpu gens if you want a drop in upgrade in a couple years.

I got in on a previous Newegg deal with this CPU/MB and decided I'd try going cheap on the cooler (usually a baaad idea, I know). The Peerless Assassin 120 SE is like $35 and it seems to have no issue keeping the CPU cool. I highly recommend it for anyone who is pinching build pennies.

Careful with the ram. Alot of 6000 MHz ram have difficulty running at xmp settings with 12th and 13th gen CPUs.

Plus, the KF has no graphics capabilities. This K has graphics.

Having Intel graphics is fine for excel/doc/browsing,

or, if you need to troubleshoot your discrete card, you can fall back to Intel graphics while uninstalling reinstalling discrete drivers.

This is a very nice deal.

What is considered hot? Legit not trolling and curious. Recently upgraded to this CPU and have an AIO cooler on it.

WTF?? no it isnt, I have my 12900k with 7600mhz, 6000mhz will be easily doable even with the worst Motherboard and the worst bind IMC cpu...

Built the exact config in Dec 2022 for $500 w/ CPU purchased off facebook. Looks like a steal to me. NVMe drives are so cheap now.

Will this CPU be proficient enough to game with in 1440p? How about 240fps in 1080p? I have a 1080ti graphics card. Will there be better deals on prime day?
