Basement dwellers?

This is a steal, until you realize you'll need to replace the screen if you plan to use it during daylight hours…
Which I should add might be reasonable for someone who has very exacting screen requirements…

To be fair.... Almost all computer monitors are like 200-300 nits. It's not like crazy unusable or something.

True for all the low end computers. But a hard pass for games even if you only play at night.

I spent like $5k on the fastest custom laptop in the world like 6 years ago and this blows it out of the water at half the weight. Mind boggling the performance this thing puts out for the price.

But...why? I play indoors during the day on a 300 nits display and almost never have the brightness fully up because it would be TOO bright. Are y'all gaming outdoors or what?

Don't think this is a good deal. Have tended to hear bad things about the Tuf line from Asus.

250 nits on a $1500 laptop (after taxes).. That's insane.. I mean, I guess it's fine if you have it connected to an external display 24/7, or just use it in the dark.

Actually, it's really great for someone that needs to use it as a general laptop at school or whatever and then come home plug into an external monitor/keyboard/mouse and get down for some serious gaming.

The display is cheap period... color gamut, response, refresh. Crap.

Anyone know if any of the RAM was soldered like the similar specs ROG one but with 14" screen? Someone reported that one have 8GB soldered.

Uh… not gonna agree to all these comments about 300 nits. I have a galaxy ultra book 3 300 nits and its too bright for me to go beyond 40%. Yeah I don't use it under sunlight, only within building including houses and rooms.

Did I tell you I paid $3k for 4070 laptop?
