Browsing thru my offers I came across this one here. I do not see any mention of a minimum purchase required OR I just do not see it.
Staples $50 back as statement credit.
To earn credit, click the button above and complete your purchase in the browser that opens. Purchases made through a merchant's app will not qualify for the rebate.
Offer Details and Exclusions
Merchant details
To earn the rebate you must make an eligible purchase at staples.com. Not eligible for purchases of gift cards, HP Printers, Ink and Toner, Tablets and E-Readers, Laptop and Desktop computers, or site to store orders. Not eligible for purchases made with coupon codes. To earn the rebate, you must be a Capital One cardholder or bank account holder, and logged in to your account on capitalone.com or the Capital One Mobile app.
How to receive the rebate
You will receive your rebate as a statement credit to your Capital One account within 3 billing cycles. Your account must be open and in good standing at the time the rebate is awarded to receive your statement credit. In the event you have more than one account, we may apply the statement credit to any active credit card or bank account that is open and in good standing. This offer is valid for consumer, non-commercial use only.
What is a qualifying purchase?
To make a qualifying purchase, you must click the button above, and then complete a purchase at the selected merchant's site, in the window opened by the Capital One Offers tile, within 24 hours. Offer is not valid by any other method.
Use of other coupons, cash back, or promotional websites after selecting an offer and before making a purchase will invalidate your offer. Offer is not valid in-person or by telephone, and in-store pickup does not constitute a qualifying purchase. Purchases made without first being redirected by a Capital One Offers tile are not qualifying purchases.
How is the rebate calculated?
Rebate is calculated using the subtotal amount of your eligible purchase, which excludes taxes, shipping, credits, and other fees. A statement credit earned through this offer is in addition to any rewards regularly earned with your card. If you return or cancel an otherwise qualifying purchase, you are not eligible for a statement credit. Credits for subscription services are only awarded to new customers in their first billing period after the merchant has confirmed your payment has processed. Credits are not available on trial memberships, unless otherwise stated.

I usually take screenshots during every step in case I need to prove that I actually made the required purchase for the offer.
Remember to use your Capital One credit card for the purchase and that this isn't valid for pick-up orders or delivery to store orders. Only orders delivered directly to your address. Also make sure you're using a web browser to activate the offer and make the purchase, not any mobile apps.
I personally purchased 50 bucks worth of office supplies. Worst case scenario I can just return them if I don't get credited, however I do expect to get credited for them. Overall a really slick deal if you know what you're doing.
A few decent options I was considering:
SanDisk Ultra thumb drive 128gb - $11
Waterman Allure fountain pen - $27 ($23 at Amazon). This is a quality lacquer pen from a premium brand. Not your usual 10 cents pen.
I'm into fountain pens recently but, even for me, there aren't good deals at staples.
Looking for a waterman carene that was on sale for around $90 a few yrs ago. They're now $250+. Gah!
Edit: found the original deal https://slickdeals.net/e/12107392-waterman-carene-amber-shimmer-fine-point-fountain-pen-86-50-free-s-h
Kicking myself for not buying at that time. I wasn't into FP then.
If you have this offer and want to use it make a difference, cash in on those cheap supplies and donate them to a teacher.
The pro doesn't outweigh the con. This is a vague promotion to begin with. 1. Is there a purchase minimum? 2. Will credit actually be posted? Some said there is no minimum some said it's $150. If it's $150 and you want to waste time arguing with Capital one with screenshots and whatnot, be my guest. If it's really no minimum, my sincere congratulations to you on all the free stuff to your hearts content

I understand what you are saying, but how can a business survive when 99% of their stuff is grossly overpriced? That was the point I tried to make
You don't need 1,000 people per day to buy overpriced stuff, you only need 100.
Businesses buy from them for convenience. People who need paper or ink that ran out during a project do as well. Dash in, dash out, save time and not $.
They sometimes have good deals with rewards. *Shrug*

Yeah but different clientele no? Staples is more like a retail commodity store where the prices should be highly competitive
Thank you. That's very valuable insight and actually addressed my confusion.
