Does this work any better than just popping popcorn in the microwave in regular Pyrex? I'd love to get more pop as the percentage without burnt kernels, but I'm unclear whether the shape of this makes that more likely or wont matter

I think popping in a paper lunch bag or air popper works better

How does this compare to popping it on the stove? Is the taste any different? I usually pop it in a pot with a lid.

I personally feel that pot cooking is the best flavor. Just my opinion overall and I've popped a ton of corn. Most don't want to use any oil which is why it comes out either like styrofoam, with lots of unpopped kernels or burnt. A table spoon of canola goes a long way.
