That said, I am purchasing this at Amazon with delayed "Amazon day" delivery: this way I can cancel on Prime Day if anything better shows up (which is quite likely IMO).

I used to always spend a premium on the lowest latency RAM I could find (within reason), but I realized over the years that all it ever got me was bragging rights. Benchmarks were typically within 1-2% of others with more mainstream RAM kits.

If you have a 4090 and money is no object, fine; otherwise, buy inexpensive RAM and divert those funds elsewhere.
