I've never used Vanicream's lotion, but their shampoo and conditioner (previously known as Free & Clear) is amazing for people with sensitive skin and skin issues, such as eczema. My partner has some light eczema on her scalp, and there haven't been any issues since she switched to Vanicream hair products years ago. I've recommended them to other people with eczema and they've also been very happy with them. Your mileage may vary, of course, but it could be worth the shot.

I hope this helps,
Tofu Vic

What is the shelf life of these? It'd take a long time to use up all 3.

How does this compare with CeraVe?

I bought this on a previous prime day deal. I won't be buying this again. I'm not a fan of it - it's super greasy. I use Cerave at night, and much prefer that to this. Just my two cents.

Thanks for posting. The reviews are great and it looks like this can replace the expensive CeraVe for me 🤞

I have terrible eczema and was using Cerave cream for a while which worked well but not as well as vanicream does. It's super thick and for the most part helps stop me from having to use steroidal cream and ointment as much.

It's not as greasy as occlusive moisturizers such as Vaseline, Eucerin, Aquaphor, etc. I think the Vanicream is comparable to the La Roche-Posay Lipikar Balm AP+ in consistencies and I personally like both of them. CeraVe and Cetaphil lotions are lighter, but they are not as moisturizing.

I definitely prefer cerave better, but this product is much cheaper and works pretty well. For my eczema on my daughter, both products seem to work just as well. Cerave feels a bit less oily, but the Vanicream line are excellent products.

We've tried several products for my kids eczema and was recently recommended vanicream by our friend who is a pharmacist. This has cured all my kid's eczema! Not sure what's in it but I strongly stand by this product and have recommended it to several others who have had the same results!

Agreed, it is greasy though less of an issue if you don't use as much or have five minutes to rub it on your skin
