I bought this 535 model in 2021 for $550. It's a solid TCL. It's not an OLED, but it's fine for the money. TCL products as a whole have screen issues/banding etc, so you just have to make sure you get a good one. The HDR and nits arent really that great, but if you want those you're gonna be spending $1000+ on a tv for the real versions of those.

I'm not 100% up to speed on model numbers at the moment, FWIW I love the 555, bought last fall from Best Buy. I understand that was a new model for 2022, and it has been fantastic. For the previous generation of 5-series, BB and Walmart models were the same, except WM's came with the nice RF voice remote, which is a must-have in my opinion. My 555 still only came with an IR remote but it paired fine with an RF remote I already had.

In any case, the 555 has been great and is bright and beautiful. Not sure if this has the same panel, but if it does this is a bargain.

Looking for a 50+ in TV to replace 3x 32in monitors in my office (ordered a new sit/stand desk) where I have a stripped down "thin client" PC w/ 2x DP and 1x HDMI (all with 4K max resolution output).
I don't think I need an LG C2 (no gaming, design or video/graphic intense work).
How would this tv perform?
Suggestions on other options?

I got this last black Friday ...but that was with Google tv ...picture quality is awesome ....viewing angle is not bad ...but best to watch by sitting right in front of it

4 series vs 5 series , correct ? Then don't even think of 4 series ...I have experience with both ..I returned the 4 series tv

You can buy these TCL 55" 4k panels without hesitation! I bought a 55R635 in 2020 for $578 from Walmart and it's literally the best TV I have ever watched. The picture is flawless and blows away panels at Costco that cost 4x more. Whenever I go over anyone's house to see their home theater, I'm always thinking that my TV has a much better picture. The best part is the WiFi and GUI are super reliable and smooth - it doesn't randomly disconnect like Samsung TVs seem to.
