Most dash cams will have difficulty clearly capturing license plates under majority of conditions. I'm happy to be proven wrong, and I'll happily buy the ones that can.

My recommendation is if your dash cam records audio, read the license plate out loud if you can.

N2 probably my fav dash cam to update. i love the dual cams. Apparently the thieves loved it too cuz they smashed my car window and took it lol

Have the e2. No way the gps is useful it lags so far behind. Also, the included 12v adapter had the wire attached... And it wasn't long enough. Swapped to my own USB cable and USB brick.
Finally, when using known quality microsd cards it would stop recording once full. Customer support pretty much made me buy their brand microsd and it works now ... I don't get it. The microsd I was using was a scandisk and formatted on camera. I've been using the card in my GoPro since issue free.

My personal preference is VIOFO. I have 2 for few years and never failed me. They have a capacitor which I believe is better in high temperature settings.

I have both the Vantrue N2 and the Viofo A119v3. I highly recommend the Viofo. Newer Sony sensor and supercapcitor are the way to go.

Thanks, but with the $100 coupon applied at checkout the newer model is way higher spec (4k front camera for example, capacitor not battery, etc...) and a better value.

No its easy. You just have tap in 2 wires from fuse box. One constant 12v and ignition 12v and ground. Easy tap in with fuse tap cable. After that just tuck in wires into headliner and a pillar.

Have you tried out this model yet? It doesn't have the Sony starvis sensor the n4 has (x4s has Omni vision) and was wondering what u think so far. Thanks.
