Yes, but other passengers may complain that your chainsaw is too loud.

I have an offbrand pair similar to these (Tumi I believe), and really like them for mowing.

One thing to note on this particular version, since the specs do not seem to list it, is that these are micro-usb instead of usb-c (at least according to one review and several Q&A's).

I have had a pair of these that we use for mowing, and just last month my son broke the charging port somehow. I paid $45 for an open box pair on Ebay.

I highly recommend them, they work great for cutting mower and string trimmer noise and letting me listen to audiobooks and podcasts while doing it.

To the person asking about wearing them on a plane, there are better noise cancelling options that are not as bulky. These are heavy ear muff style and hurt my ears after about 2 hours. Also my ears and side of my head gets sweaty. I use them when doing work, so hard to tell if these are totally the cause.

I have these and am happy with them, but they don't seem to get very loud. But neither did my wired hearing protection headphones. Sometimes I go with Bluetooth earbuds under standard hearing protection earmuffs if I want/need more volume.

Agreed, I love mine as well. My mower is crazy loud and yeah they could be a bit louder, but I can still hear the music. These make a good backup or a last minute gift I've don't need to open.

Thanks, I've been wanting a pair of these. On my order, it took off another $10 for something called "Prime Savings", but I'm not sure what exactly that is.

Good deal, tempted to buy a backup for my pair. I have the version with the radio, and it it works well for mowing. They're not audiophile headphones though. I've seen people comment on these wondering why they don't sound like their $300 music headphones.

Not really noise cancelation so much as noise deadening. These are earmuffs - rather large cans dedicated to blocking sound with integrated audio. That said, I think they most certainly COULD work fine for air travel but, as someone else stated, they're considerably bulky which makes them, imo at least, less than ideal for a carry-on solution. Something like Bose, Sony or Anker Soundcore might provide more portability and comfort for your use case scenario.
